Why do I not like Joe Rogan?
I remember one time I was curious about North Sentinel Island, so I searched for it on YouTube. What should show up in the results is a clip from Joe Rogan's show wherein North Sentinel Island was the topic of conversation. I had never listened to his show before, but gave it a chance.
It was a painful clip to listen to and I couldn't even last three or four minutes.
I didn't learn anything new from him. He derailed and started talking about how North Sentinel Island is technically part of Asia, then rambled on about how it's now "politically incorrect" to use the word "oriental."
.... Ugh.... That's where his mind went?
A rule of thumb for me:
If you want to make a good first impression on me, refrain from saying something like "politically correct." More often than not, it's a phrase used by self-centered douchebags who don't know how to make other people happy, as if the only emotions they know how to elicit from others are disgust and outrage.
I really have little patience for people who use phrases like "politically correct" or "social justice warrior" etc....
.... Really now, saying phrases like those only expose your ugly soul. They say more about you than the people you complain about. It's no way to get on my good side.
