And they ran, laughing and shouting, barreling through the trees toward where the firepit sat next to the cliffside. Mateo arrived first, skidding to a stop much too close to the edge and yelling at the churning ocean waves below.
"Aaaaaaaaah!"
"What on earth are you doing?" Celeste screeched, jumping gracefully over the skillfully placed logs around the fire pit. "You're so loud!"
"No - it's good. It's relaxing! We all need to scream into the void sometimes!" Mateo yelled back towards her, though they were only a few feet apart. He continued his senseless wails towards the ocean, and, laughing, Celeste decided to join.
"Ahhhhh!" She yelled, waving her arms and jumping around the abandoned campsite. "Guys, hurry up!" she called towards the remaining members of their group, who were still running down the hill.
Harry, arriving third, rolled his eyes and gently placed a brown sack on the ground by the seating area. The smuggled glass bottles inside sent a high pitched clink reverberating around the area.
Paige stumbled on the rocky terrain, but Xin's firm grasp on her waist prevented her from falling.
