I DO HOWEVER OWN THIS STORY!
CHAPTER ONE:
"Ah, another fine day mom," says Tohru Honda stretching and smiling. "I wonder what adventures the Somas' and I will go on today!"
She opens her window with a small amount of difficulty. It's spring and the temperatures haven't exactly completely warmed up all the way, yet, anyways. She looked out the window pondering her roll in the Soma family curse from these past few months. Akito had killed himself to free the Zodiac Curse. That had taken ahold of the Soma family for centuries. To break the curse, the one that posed as 'God', had to kill himself willingly. On one condition, Tohru watch as he lie dying from blood loss. She was not to take her eyes off of him or he would give the signal to Hatori to come and stop it.
So as horrible as it was for her, all those tears, she kept her horrified gaze on him. As he slit his wrists, 1 centimeter deep and then, he bled to death over the next 20 minutes. She though it would've been faster. He held his gaze looking at her evenly, smiling , his cruel smile. Then as she watched the light of light fade from his eyes. She shook more and more violently as time went on. At the 30 minute mark, Hatori went and checked Akitos' pulse and confirmed his death.
Tohru instantly started sobbing quietly, she didn't want to make a racket, then she felt two pairs of arms around her. She jolted in surprise, on either side of her, was Kyo and Yuki. They all looked at each other with as much shock as they must feel. She was HUGGING Kyo and Yuki! The curse was indeed broken. But her heart was far from over-joyed. She was scarred from the shock of watching Akito die the way he did.
But she told herself, "I will overcome this! I won't let this grief overtake me! They mean to much to me!"
It took about a year of therapy from Hatori and lots of cuddles from both Kyo and Yuki, who had a mutual agreement, that were both needed to be part of her recovery. They were also watching but they were used to even more unpleasant things than that from Akito, so they really didn't seem to mind the blood. They were used to his horrifying deeds. So this, no matter how permanent it was, was just another day they hoped to end on a better note. Which it did, both Kyo and Yuki no longer fought each other over winning in strength. But now they were fighting for Tohrus' heart.
"Hello? Earth to Tohru!" Uo-Chan said.
Tohru looked up embarrassed, "EEEEE! I'm so sorry, I guess I was spacing out again!"
Kyo looked at her exasperatedly. He knew what she was thinking of and he took her in his arms, "Talk to me." he mumbled into her hair.
Kyo was sexy in all his orange fiery way, and he was so into Tohru. Kagura didn't like it at first, but she got over it, then her and Tohru were friends. Kagura just didn't want Kyo to get his heart broken. Tohru wasn't planning on it, but then there was Yuki, who was also fighting for her heart. She just recently noticed this, but it made her feel like the luckiest girl in the world. To have two guys after your heart instead of one. It also made her feel guilty though. Because she knew at one point she would have to break one of their hearts and she was not looking forward to that day.
"Well, I was wondering what we should do for dinner. It's Yukis' birthday, so I thought we would do Soba and some Calamari, and for desert, desert rice balls!" she finished with an astonished looking Kyo, Uo-Chan and Hana.
"Your doing all that for the prince, Tohru?" Asked Uo-Chan.
"Of course! It's not everyday you turn 18!"
"That's true, but isn't calamari expensive?"
"Oh, well I have been saving up!" she said as she smiled.*
"Our Tohru so kind, to kind!" Said Hana taking Tohru from Kyo and pulling her into her arms.
"No i'm not! It's a special day," Tohru said smiling happily. "Besides, Kyos is coming up too! We have to plan for his too! Swab, swab, that's my job!"
Kyo gave her a look that plainly said, "I don't care if you do anything for my birthday..." but she misread it as a happy look at her suggestion.
"I need ideas for your birthday Kyo so I was thinking of going to your father for ideas."
She was of course talking about his master. But Kyo called him dad and that has been that way for the past three years. Because his biological dad, basically a sperm donor, was the person that hated Kyo for what he was. He blamed Kyo for his wife and Kyos moms' death, when in reality it was the curse. But he didn't care about any curse, he hated Kyo. He couldn't wait to lock Kyo up for the rest of his life. When he had asked Master for his help, he had refused and claimed Kyo as his son and said, "He is MY son, and I will keep him from that fate as much as I can, but not without a fight. You don't know Kyo and he is a phenomenal person. He has grown to be kind, sensitive and hungry for justice. If you don't care that's okay...But I do and I WON'T let them lock him up, not without a fight."
Kyo had no idea about this exchange, but he knew his biological father hating him for the death of his mother. He felt sad, guilty and angry at her for killing herself at first, but now he had all these people who cared about him. It didn't seem to matter anymore. His love for Tohru seemed to heal him along with the love she gave him back, along with the love from everyone else.
Kyo smiled at Tohru that smile full of love that she always misread, She smiled her smile right back at him. His heart contracted and started to beat faster. He knew what he wanted for his birthday, it was to give himself completely to her, and her to give herself, completely to him. He WOULD get that for his birthday. When you grow up with the curse you grow up fast. So he was ready. But little did he know Yuki was thinking the same exact thing.
