Operation Cinder:
After the death of Emperor Palpatine, a single message was sent via a select series of droids. The Emperor had planed for his untimely death, and his plan was to start fresh. All of The Emperor's most trusted Moff and Admirals were given specific instructions, the bulk of the remaining fleet, some 10000 star destroyers and another 100000 carriers and light cruisers. Mean while, another 7000 Star Destroyers, and 20000 light cruisers would take up the task of "cleansing" the mistakes of the Empire. In this, 12 worlds were selected to be made examples of, Burnin Konn, Candovant, Abednedo, Commenor, and Nacronis, as well as Vardos, and Naboo were just a few of the worlds, Naboo and 5 others being the only attacks to fail. Inevitably, these events would lead to the battle of Jakku, and a crushing defeat against the majority of the remaining Imperial forces, the Galactic Civil War was officially brought to a close. How ever, a fraction of the Imperial forces didn't give up. Much of those not in the inner circle, fearing what would happen upon their surrender, regrouped in the outer rim and began to take a section of space for themselves, large enough to be major assault with what remained of the fledgling New Republic, they were left to their own devices, calling themselves "The Imperial Remnant" with some 1000 Imperial 2 class star destroyers, another 8000 carriers, 10000 light cruisers, and 20000 Gozanti class Assault Carriers, the Remnant has managed to remain against the New Republic.
Current events are at 10 ABY.
The Universe still has yet to fully recover from the events of Operation Cinder, traders rely heavily on independent contractors as many large scale shipping companies were either put out of business by the Empire, or destroyed by the War. Additionally, The New Republic can barely patrol most of the worlds that are apart of it, allowing Imperial Remnants to patrol, raid, and torment all along the Outer Rim and even some of the Mid Rim worlds. A group of former head of the Empire (Moff Gideon, Commandant Brenol Hux, Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax) Have managed to take multiple Outer Rim worlds and restore a ship yard. The New Republic has yet to realize what they are doing.
Currently, the Mandalorian people have taken back their home world and begun to rebuild their people, home, and military. Boba Fett, famed bounty hunter, is reportedly back from the dead, or his assumed death, and has taken control of Mos Espa, 1 of the cities on Tatooine
RP intro:
After the fall of the Empire, The New Republic struggled to pick up the pieces and bring law and order back to the Galaxy. Now, the Outer Rim worlds are plagued with bandits, pirates, and even Imperial Remnants. Jobs aren't scarce, and some of the most lucrative opportunities are in "Private shipping," aka smuggling. Anyone with a crew, some guns, and a ship, can make plenty of credits. The better the crew, the better the Credits. Other jobs, such as Bounty Hunting, bring in plenty of Credits as there are plenty of Imperial officers still wanted by The New Republic.
Everyone will play a different roll on a ship of adventurous entrepreneurs looking to make their way in the galaxy, even as the Imperial Remnants attempt to rebuild, and rumors are slowly whispered that The Emperor didn't die? Now, who will you be? The mechanic? The Captain? The Pilot? The Muscle? Maybe this ship will be lucky, and have a Medic?
