Well, that was easier than she'd thought it would be. For once, a pleasant surprise.
Arin poked her head inside curiously. The room wasn't too large - maybe the same size as most of their classrooms - and was circular with a domed glass ceiling. A large carpet with what looked like constellations covered most of the floor. The walls were covered with miscellaneous maps, charts, and scholarly articles, all poorly taped to the stone walls. To one side was a curved bookcase, filled to the brim with dusty textbooks. To the other was a large wooden desk with even more books and papers piled atop. Two halves of a cracked open globe balanced precariously on a wooden chair near the desk. To to the side opposite entrance was a large telescope pointing up towards the ceiling. Nestled between the bookshelf and the telescope was another wooden door.
What was this place?, Arin wondered, carefully entering the room. The remnants of an abandoned club, or perhaps a professor's former research space? Was one of the Eight connected to this place?
