so... i found this tucked behind a 30 Gospel Classics CD. on a blank maxell disc w/ Marker on it lol.

anyways... MercyMe's "Almost There"

i was NOT expecting its sound to be good. at least, for what Windows Media Player tells me is "Christian Rock / Hip Hop" lol

seriously, their opening track "I Worship You" is a pretty strong opener. i dig it. i mean, i don't go to The Bible fandom but sonically i'm all here for it. kinda like a softer Skillet almost? maybe? haven't listened to them in a while.
it sort of melds into ballads a few times, but picks up again at "The House Of God"
the ending track absolutely sounds like an ending.

and they have a website!

if i remember to dig around in their discography for something less jesus-y i might listen to em more... maybe... who knows!

btw i am NOT checking out the actual 30 Gospel Classics i am not strong enough for that lol
