SEPTEMBER 2021
I quit my desk job and accepted a full time position {WITH BENEFITS!!!} as a baker!!! I am so ecstatic to be starting a career doing something I love to do. The days are challenging and I won't lie- I'm still adjusting to standing all day- but they fly by! I am so proud of myself for focusing on my mental health and getting to a place where I could sink energy into bettering my day to day life. So grateful to have some spark back and am beyond hopeful that this will be a springboard for a happier future.
Current Goals:
-Hoping to re-establish myself on instagram and start a digital portfolio/side-business in the near future.
-I'd love to work on creating boozy desserts that are designed to pair with alcoholic drinks. I'd pitch the menu to local bars for a weekend only dessert counter. What drunken person doesn't love sugar? This is a 9-12 month goal because the holiday season will be insane at the bakery.
-Land a position at a bakery that will pay tuition for me to go to pastry school and/or convince my current bakery to fund my education. This is an ongoing goal.

Modesty is important because it allows you to recognize the things that you need to work on but pride is also important. Pride allows you to acknowledge the growth you've already achieved.
