I really need to find time to rename all the countries/cities lol...
Anyways, we open at a random bar in the middle of Brass territory. Chris observes his surroundings, showing his distaste for the culture of the Brass, but also noting that he understands not to speak up. We learn he's been here for two years, since the "Fall of the Winds," whatever that may be, and that he's 20.
He's approached by a girl as he cleans a glass. It's Olivia! We learn they've been together since the Fall, since she's also from the Winds. She laments about how she doesn't enjoy the work, and that the patrons have been getting more aggressive ever since they learned she'd turned 18 a few months ago.
Olivia leaves, and Chris returns to his duties behind the bar. He observes an old television in the corner, displaying a news broadcast of things he would've otherwise had to read off the Score late at night. The Brass are planning to completely annex the remaining parts of the Winds, in order to grow their ranks and overpower the Strings. The general, (some jerk with a moustache), yaps about the militant's successes. The bar patrons celebrate the military's success; Chris silently mourns.
Suddenly, there is shouting. Glass shatters. A young soldier is having an argument with Olivia.
