Akari tossed up the wedding bouquet. Today was the happiest day of her life. She had married her long time love Hitoshi, and everyone was there to see it. Even a serial killer. Akari invited a man that was supposed to be a caterer. The man seemed nice and calm. Peaceful, you might say. He got along with everyone and not a single person was suspicious.
The man was a long wanted serial killer. He had a history of killing young brides after a walk along a river or stream.The man asked Akari for a walk, to talk about future catering. She agreed and followed him. They talked about food, until he asked her this, "Do you remember a fellow by the name of Kyochima?" Akari was stunned. That was the name of one of her high school loves.
"Yes..."she replied.
"That's me," the killer answered, "you broke my heart after you met Hitoshi. Now I will break yours." The man grabbed Akari by her neck and choked her. He grabbed a rock and tied it to her feet. He threw her into the water, and there she drown. Later, after the man fled, Akari floated up to the top of the lake, with a pale face and eyes without soul. When her husband found her after being missing for three hours, he vowed to avenge his wife's soul.
Akari soon became an angel. She lived in the lake and would make visits to her widowed husband in the form of a dream.


This story was inspired by a picture I drew of a lady floating above the water with soulless eyes. The idea hit me while I was sleeping. That is why these entries are called the strange and deranged thoughts in my mind. Yep...strange indeed.
