Guess what? New dream.
How many of you have seen the OLD Posiedon Adventure?
Well, in that movie there is a part where a valve begins steaming, and is threatening to explode. In order to save the remaining survivors, one of the main characters leapt from the catwalk to dangle from the valve. As if doing the Monkey Bars, this person slowly closed the valve, then dropped to flaming death below.
I watched that movie recently before this dream...
I saw some one jump from the catwalk, but I couldn't tell who it was, or even which gender they belonged to. I heard them shouting about something, but it didn't register in my mind what they were saying. (You know how dreams are...)
They flipped around so they were facing the group and I, but I still couldn't see them. They were simply a silhouette (sp?)in my eyes.
"Get off of this ship to safety, Alison. For me." They slipped.
Falling silenty, I could finally see the person's...er...people's face--um... faces. You see, a million people flashed before my eyes. People from my family, to cousins, to A and Na, to even people I have met here; like Pheonix, Fluff, Boise, and even Mako.
In a moment they disappeared beneath the flames. My cry of "NO!", quickly turned into simply... A scream of horror.
I cried.. No I wept, with every bit of my energy for those I had lost. I stumbled down the stairway, my sight clouded with bitter tears. As I reached the bottom of the stairs I fell to my knees, realizing that there was no hope of... any... of them had survived the water and fire.
I could think of anything other then "Why? Why were they taken from me? Why are they ALL gone? Why? Why? Why..."
I lowered my head and my arms trembled. Someone lifted my chin and said softly "You are never alone." I slowly stopped crying to see again... the silhouette. The shadow.
Everyone. Every last person who I thought I had lost stepped out from behind the shadow, smiling warmly.
I cryed again, but instead, tears of pure joy. They were safe...
Everyone exchanged hugs and I felt simply at home. Everyone was alright. The story proceeded to the point where the rescuers asked "How many of you?"
"Everyone." I answered confidently.
"All of the passengers?" One man inquired.
"No." I said, glowing on the inside. "Just everyone who matters."
