Chapter four: More like Kikyou

"Mmmmhhhm, yes that'll do."

"What?! I was just playing!"

"Well you shouldn't of asked, you know its a nice outfit."

"But mama." I looked at her, she gave me a look that let me know that her mind was made, and not going to change. "Fine."

"Good, now go try it on!"

"Yes, mother, whatever you say." I said mother a little too bitter for her likings.

"Kagome, don't use that tone with me!"

"Yes ma'am." I quickly snatched the outfit out of her hands. She glanced at me, I quickly bowed and went to the restroom in my room. 'Great! How am i supposed to get out of THIS one?!?'

I looked down sadly at the outfit. 'Well, time to try it on!' I reached down and grabbed the mini skirt. 'Yuck!' I slipped it up over my butt. 'Well, it's a good thing she doesn't know about my spare clothes in my backpack!' I walked out after putting on the shirt and boots.

"See Kagome? You look very nice." 'Mama said that in a little to much of a cherry vocie for my likings. I hope I won't have to act like that!' "Okay, now time for the voice!!"
'Crap! But, of course, you can't just look like it, you have to walk and talk like it, too.' "So, what do I have to start talking like Kikyou?"

"Um, I suppose, let me hear how she talks."

"What do you want me to say?"

"How about just start with one sentance to start a conversation."

"Okay; Hello, how are you today?"

"Well, fine thank you. How about yourself? Okay? thats what you are to say, and if someone asks you first, say what I did."

"Okay! You're welcome, and I'm fine thank you."

"Very good Kagome! I told you, you are a faster learner than most!"

"Thank you."

"You're welcome." I dropped the act, "So what do we do now?"

"Kagome....."

'MY bad! sheesh!' "So what shall we be doing next?"

"Well, next we should, work on how to walk!"

"Yes ma'am."

"Okay, now when you're walking down the hall, or anywhere for that matter, walk in a straight line."

"Yes ma'am."

"Okay, try it." I looked down, 'Here goes nothing!' I walked with my feet EXACTLY in a staight line.

"Very good, how long do you think you can keep your balance?"

"Maybe, fifteen more secounds." with that said I fell over, "Or five."

I watched as mama walked over to the book shelef. She grabbed ten of them, all the same size and walked back over to me. "Stand up please."

'Do I even have a choice?' I stood up and glared at her as she put the books on my head. Then she walked to the other side of the room, "Walk to me."

"Hai." I slowly walked towards her, carefully, not to make the books fall.

"Faster." I picked up the pace a little. "Good."

I made it to her in about five more secounds, "Now go back."

I looked at her as if she was crazy, she returned the look. I very slowly started walking back to the other side 'Careful, don't make the books fall when you turn' I kept repeating that to myself until I made the turn. 'Yes!'

"Very good, the first time I did my turn the books fell!" I stiffled a laugh. I made it the rest of the way with ease. 'This might not be so hard after all.'
