Haha. I haven't had ANY at all substantial posts for a really long time (and none as long as this one..) Hm. I can't sleep. I'm turning into a freaking insomniac. I decided I'll be all nice and proper, with capitalizations and no made up words. (for instance, like AWESOMEO! or FOSHO! - even though they're very nice and I love those words very much xP)
Anyway, I seem to never be able to fall asleep until 2AM, so oh well. Anyway - I've spent the past two days reading (*cough* after downloading *cough*) HANA KIMI. It's short for something in Japanese (but in Japanese it's like Hanamomochi Kimidakuda or something really long that actually makes sense) that translates into "For You in Full Bloom." Haha. And that storyline is one of those
1. girl loves boy 2. boy goes to an all boys school 3. girl manages to sneak her way into aforementioned school 4. girl and boy meet => become good friends => boy falls in love and questions sexual orientation 5. girl's secret gender is revealed 6. boy is hurt (this choice is optional) 7. girl leaves 8. boy comes to her 9. HAPPY EVER AFTER!
Dun dah!! [insert inspirational music here] Haha... that's really what those plot lines are. Well, for Hana Kimi it really is like that (minus step six)... and it's really cute. I was pretty much obsessing and reading nonstop. I mean, I stared at the computer screen for about eight hours, just reading the damned thing. o(^.^)0 Go reading power go!
Half the characters in that book are gay (or think they're gay) and I find it funny. Because it really is centered around love regardless of gender (if you ignore the fact that the main guy character, who's name is Sano, knew that the girl pretending to be a boy, who's name is Mizuki, was really a girl). Did I confuse you in my little note? Haha. Good. I wanted to. Because I'm cruel and sadistic like that. Anyway, Sano (main boy) knew that Mizuki (main girl pretending to be boy) was a girl and fell in love. However, Mizuki didn't know that Sano knew about her gender secret... so when he confesses his love for her (this isn't a spoiler, because if you have even the slightest notion what shoujo manga is, you know that will happen EVENTUALLY) she's a bit worried because her love might be gay. Hardy har har. Comical irony eh?
The guy with black hair is Sano. The girl - yes girl - with brown hair is Mizuki. And yeah - this is just one of the pages I downloaded in one of the volumes because I'm too lazy to search for pictures on Google.
Yeah, and anyway half the people (as I've said) are gay in that story. The doctor's gay... half the boys chase after the girly looking boys (who incidentally always get set up to cross dress as girls) so they're kind of queer (and desperate). And most of the people in there are beautiful. Too many beautiful people. Not that I'm complaining.
Anyway, I had a point to make. It was something about the queer couples and stuff... Oh yeah! I find it funny how about 75% of the anime/manga otakus out there are absolutely going "OMG I R LUV YAOI/YURI OMG OMG!" (psst: yaoi/yuri is the term for gay/lesbian couplings in manga and such... just an FYI!)
Yeah. I find that funny, especially since so many people right now (at least those who can voice their opinions) think that to be sexually attracted to people of the same gender as you is something so DISGUSTING... when it's really more like someone preferring the rocky road to plain old vanilla in ice cream. I mean, Hitler hated gay people. He wanted to kill them all. Yes, I'm drawing on AP Euro information because my mind has just been rotting away and I wanted to know if I even remembered anything that happened sophomore year. So, if you hate gay people and I come across you, and you are one rude mo**** fu**** then I'll just shout back at you, just as rude "WELL GO KISS HITLER'S a** YOU FU***** NAZI!!"
Yeah - a lot of teenagers now really are into the... same sex pairings. (I don't really understand why but I've got nothing against it.) So I'm just pointing out the fact that in a few years, THOUSANDS of those teenagers that support same sex relationships are going to be able to vote. So that means in a few more years after that, same sex marriages will probably be erm, what's the word... oh yeah. They'll be legal. Binding. Same as a man and a woman getting married. Complete with the certificate and everything.
At least I think so. You'd think it'd work out like that. I hope it's going to work out like that... because I mean honestly, people were homosexual ALL the time back in Ancient Greece during Sophocles and stuff. You guys know Sophocles right!? He's a pretty damn famous philosopher? If you don't, I suggest you pay more attention in school. Haha... yeah HE WAS A HOMOSEXUAL! I say that because I remember we had to do an oral presentation on that in Language Arts and my friend had to stand in front of the class and talk about how homosexuality was a common practice back during his time.
Read that? COMMON PRACTICE! So yeah, I hate those uptight bastards who think they're right about everything. I mean, I'll understand if you don't like gay people, but I really hate those politics where you have to basically slander the opposition's argument to get your say. So I hate politics. Sue me. Well, don't sue me. You don't have a legit reason. Anyway, I'm getting a little off-track, as you can see. In a few years, we'll have teens who accept same sex relationships enter legal status as adults, and the US of A is going to go BOOM with its current president's policies on a marriage should be a sacred union between a man and woman.
I understand how they feel that way - since it's how we reproduce right? Well, people aren't going to stop loving who they love just because you say they can't get married. Why not give them the benefits that heterosexual couples can have? Like life insurance? Health benefits? It'd be a lot easier on people.
...
I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore. So I'm going to give you something my friend gave me as a chain-mail. Because it holds a lot more impact than anything above this sentence.
(P.S. If you can't take sarcasm, don't read it. Well, if you read my little rant thing above you might already be pissed. Haha... I'm the king of sarcasm. And in case you didn't catch it, that was also sarcasm.)

10 Reasons Why Gays Should Not Be Allowed To Marry
1.) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eye glasses, polyester, and air conditioning.
2.) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
3.) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4.) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5.) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour "just-for-fun" marriage would be destroyed.
6.) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
7.) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8.) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
9.) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I didn't have to always deal with society hating me.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.
I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.

This post has been a production of boredom. Thanks for reading o(^.^)Y [Although I bet you just skimmed it because no sane person would bother reading my insane ramblings! xP]
