So yeah, this is teh first chapter of my story. Aren't you lucky to stumble upon this page 3nodding Anyways Enjoy =D
Felisha Karillo, 16 year old sophomore at Logan High school, broke the tape. Again. Being the star athlete of the cross country & track and Field, it wouldn't be the first time she won the five mile race against Silverstone High school, second in the state(after Logan of course). Felisha was a fit girl, with a skinny body and strong legs. She had jet black hair, ending about 2 or 3 inches below her shoulder blades, with side parted dark auburn bangs. Freckles were sprinkled over the bridge of her nose and a crescent birthmark was spread over her right temple. When she wasn't wearing her cross country uniform(green with purple lettering and diagonal stripe), Felisha wore her usual attire, slight faded blue jeans with a rose pink T-shirt with the words 'I'd rather be Sleeping' in fancy red lettering.
Felisha wobbled tiredly to where she kept her Gatorade when she was tackled by a girl with bouncing black curls. The girl squeaked when she hugged Felisha, her black eyes glittering with mirth. When the girl finally let go, Felisha was able to get a good look at the girl. She looked to be about 16, with springy black curls with blond highlights. She wore a plain white t-shirt with a small, blue, embroidered eagle at the right corner. Blue jeans and white tennis shoes completed the outfit with simple flair. The girl's face showed a Hispanic heritage with deep skin tones.
Ally Ameca, Felisha's best friend, smiled with pride. "Felisha! You did great!" She grabbed the Gatorade that Felisha was eying and handed it to her. Felisha eagerly gulped it down halfway, and promptly gagged.
"Thanks," Felisha replied out of breath and wiped her mouth. She took another swig of the Gatorade and sat on the closest bench. She clasped her knees looking down, a bead of sweat fell off the tip of her nose. Ally sat down next to Felisha when Felisha's family came, armed with towels and a spritz bottle filled with water.
"Honey, that was great!" Felisha's mom exclaimed, spraying Felisha with water from the spritz bottle. Before Felisha could reply, she was smothered by a towel.
"Mrrmmmph!!" Felisha shoved the towel back at Amelia, her older sister. Looking at Amelia and Felisha, you could hardly tell that they were related. Amelia had dark hazel eyes while Felisha's were a bright emerald green. Amelia was 19 and an inch taller the her younger sister. Amelia's reddish brown hair was in a pixie cut, and she wore over sized glasses. She was wearing a blue plaid button-up shirt with a white tank top underneath. Her plaid shirt was unbuttoned now and she had on denim shorts frayed at the bottom with plain blue flip flops.
"S-sorry!" Amelia stuttered. When she regained her balance, Ally came back and draped the blanket over Felisha's shoulders. Amelia wasn't as outspoken as Felisha. In fact, she was down right shy, especially around guys. Felisha's attention was diverted to answering questions to the annoying school sports reporter when everyone was called to the cafeteria.

Soon after everyone arrived at the school cafeteria, which was set up like a buffet with round table scattered around the room with chairs pushed under it, the awards were passed out. Felisha was back in her regular clothes and was awarded a gold medal, for finishing in first, and a hearty pat on the back from her coach. Felisha sat back down in her chair, and watched the other runners win their award. The one award that Felisha took most notice of was the endurance award. It was a new award and Felisha had forgotten why it was awarded. But it wasn't the award that attracted her attention; It was the winner.
The winner was a 15 year old boy who had messy black hair and steely gray eyes. He seemed pretty fit with muscles on his arms and legs, with a long, thin scar across his right bicep. After accepting the award, He strode over to Felisha's table, which currently occupied Felisha and Amelia. When he was about a yard away, Amelia quickly made herself scarce and was over by her best friend, Chelsea, who was at the end of the line for the buffet. Felisha rolled her eyes and stood up to greet the boy, with out having to strain her neck to look at him. "Hi," She greeted with a small smile.
"Hey, I never expected a girl to get first. It should be recorded in the history books," The boy said with hints of teasing in his voice.
Felisha squinted at him. "Was that supposed to be a joke?"
He shruged. "Thought it was," He cleared his throat and stuck out his hand, "I'm Jack. What's your name."
Felisha shook Jack's hand. "Felisha," She smiled. "So I see you won that award. What's it for, anyway?"
Jack took the medal in his hand and examined it. "I don't know...." He dropped the medal. " Ya know, I would have gotten in first. I was behind you for most of the race, but some guy cut me off."
"That's too bad. But how does that win you an endurance award?"
He shrugged again . "It's a mystery even to it's recipient. Mind if I ask you a question?
"Shoot."
"Are you from Venus?"
"Uh, no. Why?" Felisha blinked at Jack. She looked around the area, looking for Aly or Amelia.
" 'Cause baby, your a** is out of this world."
Felisha blinked repeatedly. "Er... What?"
Jack smirked. "You know how I was behind you for most of the race? Well, I'll just say that I got a terrific view!"
Appalled, Felisha slapped him. "Perv." muttered as Felisha stalked away out of the school cafeteria and into the bathroom. As she did, she noticed that Jack had a slightly red hand mark where her hand landed.
Felisha was staring at her self in the mirror when Chelsea entered the bathroom. Chelsee was 16, the same age as Felisha, though she was a junior instead of a sophomore. Chelsee was definitely different then her best friend Amelia, who was quiet and reserved. Chelsee could kick anyone's butt, hands down. She wore a black tank with graying caprees and regular shoes, and her hair was straight and black. "Hey Felisha, what's up?"
"Men are apes," Felisha muttered, she then turned on the water and splashed her face.
"Uh, dur. It's, like, no secret."Chelsee looked at Felisha's reflection. "What did the ape do to you?"
"Hit on me." Felisha took a paper towel, wiped her hands on it, and threw it away.
Chelsee's eyebrows raised, "Really? Was he cuuuute?"
Felisha stared at Chelsee, "No." She sighed and headed for the door, "I'm goin' for a walk."
"I'll tell your mom where you went," Felisha heard Chelsee say before Felisha closed the door.

Felisha sat on the bleachers where the school track was, staring blankly into space, her hands cradling her head. What a jerk. I can't believe him, coming on to me like that. I hope he learned his lesson not to mess with me.... Oh, what am I thinking!? I heard what Chelsee said, men are apes! Big and hairy and dumb. Spitting image I'd say...
Felisha ranted on and on in her head about how men are idiots, when out of the corner of her eye, she spotted something bright. Very bright. When she looked up, she was blinded by two great lights, one yellow, one orange. She shielded her eyes from the sudden light, and peeked through her fingers to see what it was. Standing before her were two figures, one male and one female. She couldn't see any distinguishing feature due to the light, but she could hear a voice.
-It is time, young one,- A voice sounded in her head. It sounded male, so Felisha expected the male figure had spoken.
"Time? Time for what?" Felisha called to the figures. She saw the figure of the female raise her hand in the air and great gushes of wind blew all around Felisha.
-There shall be a time for answers. For now, child, you must come.- This time a female voice spoke, again inside Felisha's head.
Felisha was confused. What are they talking about? What the heck is-? She thought to herself. "What do you want from me?" She called even louder, the wind numbing her ears.
-I said there shall be a time for answers,- The female voice replied.
-For now, you must come. Come unto your new home.- The male voice spoke.
Then it got even brighter, and Felisha shielded her eyes. Soon later, the blinding light had disappeared and sunlight warmed her hands. Felisha peeked through her fingers. She was in a large valley, which stretched for what seemed to be miles. She was standing in front of a large maple tree, with sunlight peeking through the tussle of branches. She put her hands back down to her sides, blinking in disbelief at the tree. This is my new home? A frickin' tree? she thought. A gentle gust of wind blew, and detached a leaf from one of the leaf's branches. The leaf fluttered down toward Felisha. She caught the leaf just as it reached her eye-level.
-This maple leaf is your kamioe. It will be your guide through out this journey.- The female voice sounded in her head.
"My what?" Felisha whispered.
-Your kamioe. Everyone you meet from now on as one.- The voice spoke again.
"Um... Ooookaay,"
-Anytime you see a maple leaf, whether it be on a tree, blowing in the wind, or even in your mind's eye, something of great importance is near.-
"Riiight," Felisha blinked at the leaf. The ground pulsed beneath her. Startled, she dropped the leaf. Another pulse knocked her on her butt. A large crack in the ground formed a few feet in front of her. With each pulse it opened up more and more until it was at least 50 feet deep and 10 feet wide. Felisha tried to stand up, but was knocked back down by each pulse. After a few tries, she finally stood up. She tried to back away, but a strong gust of wind blew at her, pushing her closer and closer to the ditch. Felisha fought the wind, trying not to fall in the ditch, but it was a lost cause.
Her foot stepped straight into the ditch and she half screamed half squeaked. She fell a few feet before grabbing onto a narrow ledge. Felisha thanked God she was alive, and did her best to hang on.
"Don't look down, don't look down, don't look down...." Felisha warned herself. Too late, she looked down. There was nothing but empty air. Felisha squeaked, squeezing her eyes shut. She hung there for what seemed like forever, but her sweaty hands soon began to lose her grip. She tried to get it back, but let go.
This time she really did scream, loud and shrill. She looked up and watched as the sun, the clear blue sky, and the valley, disappear from view.
Felisha landed in the softest stuff she could ever hope to land in. She felt the stuff envelope her, and cover her. When she settled, She groaned softly and slowly opened her eyes. She was bed, with soft, warm cover and mattress. When she looked around, she noticed the room surrounding her, with the walls painted white and its old wooden floor. The window, which faced her bed, portrayed a relaxing scene of a large oak tree with a small nest of birds sitting amongst the tree's branches.
Felisha sat up, aching all over. She wasn't in her room, at home. She wasn't really sure of where she was. "I'm defiantly not in Kansas anymore...." she muttered, and got out of the bed.
Well, Tada!! Comment If you please! =D
