Ah, my most disputed area of the bible- Heaven and Hell.
Heaven and Hell were meant to be places to continue life after death-
and the factor of going to Hell has been a great interagation tool by
Christians. They come up with things such as the Book of Revelations; which
is a time when all Christians will be raptured (Taken to Heaven) and anyone
of different beliefs will be left behind. This is obviously ludacris and cruel to
people who don't even know about God, such as tribal groups on far-off islands;
who don't even know the rest of the world exists. Basically, my rant can bring a few
new points to the table-
-The Bible could've been written as a story. However, perhaps it was misinterpreted, and thus,
it was thought to be the truth.
-Heaven and Hell; if my above theory is correct, do not exist. However, they do play
quite a big role in Christianity's dominion over the world; in the sense that no one wants to go to Hell. So thus; they believe that if they follow the bible and God, they will go to Heaven. See? It's because people are afraid.
Yup. I was Catholic, if that matters. Know when I stopped?
When after 10 people prayed to keep one of my brothers alive, he died
anyway.
