Ramblings
Yeah. I'm gonna post stuff here. Check it out. Rock on.
Super Metroid
Yeah, Super metroid is awesome. As most other Super Nintendo RPGs are. I could put a month's worth of entries just on the good old SNES. Here's one.

*WARNING: SUPER METROID SPOILERS AHEAD*

Samus saves the last metroid. Ridley takes the last metroid. Samus chases Ridley to enemy-infested and powerup-riddled planet. Samus beats down the 5 main bosses (Spore Spawn, Kraid, Phantoom, Draygon and Ridley) and finally gets to Mother Brain, who totally breaks the mold from the last two games (Metroid, for NES, and Metroid II, Return of Samus for the old Game Boy handheld), and instead of just staying in a jar and dying once you break the jar, etc, she transforms into this crazy-awesome dinosaur thing... then, once you hit her with about 30-35 super missles, she shoots this MASSIVE laser at you, and it drains almost all of your health... and then, when she charges up the beam to finish you off, the last metroid (which think's you're it's mom... Samus is a girl) flies in and latches on to Mother Brain's head, draining it's energy!!! This looks soooooo funny... Then, the metroid gives you your energy back, and then Mother Brain destroys it, which sucks... but then you get this super powered-up beam that totally blows Mother Brain away... then, in true Metroid fashion, you've gotta escape from the self-destructing/exploding planet. Note that they did this in the start of the game, the end of the game, in all of the other games, and probably in the games that haven't even been made yet. You get used to it. It's an AWESOME game. I loved the ending.

Oh, and by the way, this two-minute summary seen above is in no way a representation of the hours it actually took me to beat the game. The adventuring is half the fun. That and beating it after working on it for a really long time. Say 11 years. Yes, I've done this. Start a new game, get stuck halfway or farther through the game, start a new game. This cycle repeated about every summer for the past 11 years... and now I finally beat it. It was AWESOME. I must've replayed that ending/boss battle 5 times once I beat it... it took me about 4-6 minutes for each replay (beating Mother Brain, plus a few minutes to escape from the planet)... I think my final time was 5 hours, 51 minutes.

Well, that ends my ramblings for today... tomorrow I might hit Chrono Trigger... or Super Mario RPG... or Final Fantasy... or Donkey Kong... Heck, I don't know, I might even do F-Zero. Check back tomorrow and see what I decided on. You never know, I might even do something about manga.

Thanks for reading,

--CB
