Ramblings
Yeah. I'm gonna post stuff here. Check it out. Rock on.
Super Mario RPG
If you ask me, Super Mario RPG: Quest for the Seven Stars was PURE GENIUS. One of the most successful video game characters of all time, Mario, in the best video game genre ever, the RPG.

*WARNING: SUPER MARIO RPG SPOILERS AHEAD!!!*

Mario, princess Toadstool, and Bowser are in the mix, as well as two new characters, Geno, a doll who was possessed by a spirit and helps you on your quest, and Mallow, prince of Nimbus Land, a land of cloud people. The point of the game is to get the seven star pieces, as mentioned in the game's title. To do this, you go through the game, possibly compoleting various side quests along the way (such as winning a Yoshi race against Boshi on Yo'ster Isle) and beating all of the game's bosses to get the star pieces back. You start with just Mario, then get Mallow at Mushroom Kingdom, Geno in Forest Maze and Rose Town (Best. Music. Ever. Forest Maze had an AWESOME soundtrack.), Bowser at Booster Tower, and the princess after you beat Booster Tower and chase Booster, with the princess on his back, to Marrymore. Anyway, it reaches it's high points in the boss battles, the Final Fantasy crossover when you fight Culex in Monstro Town, and the two-part final battle with Smithy. What a game... The one thing I found confusing is how the maximum level you could reach was level 30... It got the job done. The princess wa virtually unbeatable once she got the Lazy Shell armor...

Also, there was the unique combat system... it was timing-oriented. When you attack or are attacked, if you press the button at the right time, you take less damage or do more damage, and there's a little extra animation to show it. Awesome.

This game rocked... I must've replayed it at least 6 times, and replayed the ending more... I love the SNES. This is another game that I've been playing for more than a few years.

Thanks for reading,
