The rain is falling once more,
gently falling toward the ground.
I sit out here in its embrace,
wishing to forget about their embrace...

The rain is a cooling reminder,
of the life that I now live.
No longer forced to wander,
now that I have you to live...

You make them disappear,
with just a phrase and a smile.
But when we are apart,
they come back for the while...

We talk here and there,
and you ask me if I am alright.
I am out here in this rain,
do you actually believe me when I say that I'm alright?

The darkness is also here,
these are my two most treasured friends.
The rain that washes my doubt away,
and the darkness to hide my fears...

When we are far apart,
these are my only options.
For I am being torn apart,
with the doubt of my actions...

We came so close this time,
that I am now shaking in fear.
Of what might have actually happend,
to this friend I hold so dear...

I stand out here in the darkness,
letting the rain fall on my cool skin.
Letting it drench my very core,
to wash out all the pain and its kin...
