Chapter 1
The Confusion

It was a dark night in the middle of summer, no stars of moon where out. Walking through it would make you fell like you where in the bottom of the Dead Sea trying to walk to the shore so you could finaly see light again. This was the first time this had happened for over one thousand years, and the people of the city where all in doors wondering when the sun would come up. For they where afraid to go to asleep for fear of being attacked by some monster that only wanders int he darkest of nights.

"Hey, Markie are you going to come with us? Or are you going to be a little chicken again?" Chris yelled as he ran in to the night, after they had been warned by thier parents not togo outside.

"Don't you think it is wrong chris? i mean like all the other kids are inide hideing under a bed or something, Why do we have to come out here whe n we could be in front of the fire place drinking hot cocco?" Markie asked shyly as she stepped out side. "I hope my parents don't see us eaveing. If they saw us doing this I would be grounded for the rest of the year, and school hasn't even started yet."

As they ran into the night they where seen but not by thier parents but by a seventeen year old girl looking out the window wondering what would cause such a night. But just as she stubbled on to what seemed like a good answer she saw the two kids running out into the night.

"Ahh s**t, who would think these kids would have the nerve to run out into total darkness and not know what is out there? Of course, this has to be Chris's fault, When i get hold of him i am going to let mom ground him this time. I have always chaseing after him ever sence he could walk, I'm not going to hear the end of it this time." Meoi said as she picked up here coat. As she was walking to her bed room door she saw her Katana hanging in her closet. She walked over and picked it up and put it on her waist. "Much better," she said. As she walked down the stairs into the entry room of her house she could hear her parents talking about how they should go get Chris from his friends house.

Well chris has a habbit for finding trouble even if he doesn't mean to. It has gotten worse over the years, and last year on his 15th birthday he found a duffle bag full of money in an allyway he liked to walk down to get home from school When he got jumped by three guys with guns, he never told me what kind of guns though, i couldn't tell by looking at them. The only reason he got out of it was becuase i was walking with him and just as we saw them i pushed him behind a trash can and dove behind it my self, just in time they started fireing at the people on the streets and they ran out with the duffle bag in there hands. That is the worst it has been but know this dark night it might get worse then that, like he might be killed!

Running out into the night in the direction that Chris and Markie went Meoi tripped on a tree root. "Ouch that ******** hurt! Where did that root come from anyways?" Meoi screamed into the night.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Help me someone!!!!!!!!" Meoi heard in the distance.

Getting up and running toward the scream Meoi looked around for markie and couldn't find her anywhere. Thinking that it was Markie she had heard scream she started running faster into the woods. running through the trees and bushes and barly avoiding tree brances and stumbling over tree roots Meoi stoped to catch her breath. After catching her breat Meoi straightened up and look at her surrounding's.
Noticeing that she could see and that the the moon was full and shining down through the brances of the tree Meoi started to feel uncomfortable and worried that she had gotten lost looking for Markie. As she turned around to head back towards the house Meoi go hit in the head by a rock. Going unconscious Meoi fell onto the ground hitting her head on the trunk of a tree.

"Wake up High Priestess!!! You are being called to meet with the all knowing ones," said a yong looking man standing next to her. Looking around she relized she was in a room and no longer in the forest.

"What happened?" Meoi asked the young man.

"you where running through the forest like mad and the only way we could stop you and keep you from hurting your self was to knock you out and take you back here. Follow me and i will take you to the all knowing ones.

Following The boy out of the room she asked him, "What is your name?"

"My name is Zeb," he said as he opened a door in the passage way and started down it.
