At the same time Tim sheathed the sword and strapped it to himself on the othe end of the forest another warrior, a wolf demon also that is part of the resistance, was running through the trees trying to escape a vicious beast. The beast chasing her is one use specificly for that, tracking people. It is known as a CUNAK it has twice the speed of a man and can over power a single demon hybrid with medium effort. The cunak was hot on the trail of one of Tim's allies in battle, he had only known her for a short time of a few months, her name is Hikaru. The cunak shortly caught up with Hikaru and knocked her cold on the ground and dragged her back to a close by enemy camp. She woke up amazingly not in chains but just in a tent in the presence of the tyranical king. King Nitram Di'Vad sat in a psudo throne chair that was just a tall stained oak chair lined with velvet. Sitting there with an evil look on his face and malice in his eyes he asked the demon her name. "What be your name you foul mix of human and wolf?" "Hikaru sire" She said already kneeling, which the king liked of her to do for being in his presence a short time, he liked it a lot. She didn't have the big rebelious attitude the rest of the others against him had, what she was showing was a kind of loyalty, which right away he saw he could use her to flush out the one he had been seeking for so long. "Tell me my dear where be the one you call Tim?" he asked with a sneering smile on his face. She looked at him and thought about where her loyalty should lie, with Tim and die on the spot or side with the evil tyrant and live. Then suddenly she thought of all the things she didn't really like about the commrad and about how he was always off on his own and cheating and robbing people to survive, hurting sometimes her, family and others in the process, thats the way she saw it but some others didnt exactly share her sentiments, and at that moment made up her mind. "He was heading north west before we got separated.... come to think of it that area is where the witch Centrice lives." The king's smile widened "Thank you for this information little one, and I sense u have a ..... distaste for this Tim person since you gave him up so eagerly I bid you a task. I want you to go back to him or them because I know he's with that witch and flush them out by any means necessary for me, and do what he did to you, lie cheat and steal." Laughing evily the king dismissed the short wolf demon but not before being blindfolded and lead away by the cunak beast. The beast then took her back to the place he found her. Then after being unblindfolded, Kinowing what she had to do Hikaru set off in search of Tim finding his scent among all the other animals and plants in the area.
Running through the forest toward where she last saw Tim heading, Hikaru saw the cabin the two were preparing to leav from. She stoped there just in time to see the couple heading out, Tim with a new sword and the woman with him, Centrice, swinging her dagger around in quick practice motions to get used to the feel of it. Tim saw Hikaru immediately and said "Hey I'm gald to see you, I knew you'd still be alive, what happened?" She told him every thing he needed to hear and nothing more, especially about her run in with King Nitram. Then he introduced Centrice and Hikaru to eachother and told about how they each met to the other, Centrice's eyes brightened as she thought ((Ho! He isn't taken by this.... woman after all)).
After all was said, done and told Hikaru suggested a plan of action to head to the nearest town and lie low untill more survivors of the previous night would be found and informed of where to go. Noticing the sudden change in her tone and strange look in Hikaru's eyes Tim made him self more warey and alert.... and had the feeling that something wasn't right for some reason but he just couldn't figure it out.
They then set off in the direction of the nearest town, River Wood, named for the giant river that stretches from the forest it flows through into the distant mountains hundreds of miles away, and the thick wooded forest that is at its south eastern border. The group enters the town and heads toward the inn at the center of town so they can eat rest and catch up on current events with eachother and introduce new friends to old ones.
Tim makes arrangements for the room while Hikaru and Centrice get to know eachother at the bar of the Inn called Green River. "Are you really a witch that lives in the forrest?" Hikaru asked. "No" Centrice replied, "They call me a witch because they do not understand my ways and because I am... like you, a wolf demon that posesses greater power than any human dares weild. And how did u know of the tale any way young one?" Thinking she was caught in a lie and worried she would be found out sooner than the planned Hikaru quickly and thoughtlyessly blurted out the answer "I heard some of the king's troops talking about it as I skirted around their camp." "Oh" Centrice replied sticking her nose up slightly so she could smell Hikaru with out her knowing. Her face betrayed no expression though as she smelled that Rat the King on her hair. She decided she would tell Tim later if she had a chance.
A moment later Tim entered the bar joining them in mid conversation talking about what to do next and where to go. One idea was to head North West along the river and cross it heading off into a prarrie area. The other was to head east along the forrest for cover. Centrice was the one who thought of taking the river route. Tim pulled up a stool and sat and listened before they noticed him. Centrice's face glimmered and shot him a smile and Hikaru turned around spooked, hit Tim in the stomach and said "Dont do that, u make mice sound loud! You scared me." "Nice to see you too." Tim said to Hikaru harshly not meaning it. More discussion insued after the greetings and much ale was consumed before heading for the room. On the way Centrice stoped to give Tim a kiss on the cheek and whispered in his ear "I dont like the way she smells." Tim gave her a strange look and said "I thought something was wrong but I still dont know what." "You'll find out one way or another." Centrice said to Tim gently in the ear before kissing him, this time on the mouth, as Hikaru turned and saw it. After the brief kiss they followed Hikaru up to the room and entered placing their weapons next to their respective beds..... altho there was one problem, there were only two beds and the second bed looked rather inhabitable and ravaged by old age so they set their equipment on that bed and decided to use the nice big good one to sleep on all together that nigh
