Well, it's about time I update this damn thing.
And what more perfect time that at school, at the library taking up a computer for otherwise nonproductive means. <_<
Anywhoo, so lots has happened since I last updated.
First off, the story of my cay Ayla.
About a month or so ago, I noticed that something was wrong with my cat.
She looked fine and healthy, but I could tell something was wrong. She was just laying around in the same place, and she wasn't as active as she was supposed to be.
So, one day I came home from work, and I looked over at her, and noticed that under her tail, she was bleeding, thus confirming my suspicions that not all was well.
So, I decided to see how she was doing in the next few days, because taking her to the vet was out of the question, since I knew I wouldn't be able to pay for the bill.
The next time I was at work, I asked a couple of my coworkers what they thought I should so. After some good advice, I decided that she needed to be taken to the vet, and hopefully I could work out some sort of payment. (Especially since then, she had started bleeding again, and wasn't eating.)
So, the next day, I decided to take her to the vet, but I had to wait until my mother came home so she could take me. Unfortunatly, she told me that she had a meeting, and wouldn't be home untill late. So, I was faced with the crisis of having no ride, and the next day was out of the question, since I had school and work the next day, and would have no time to take her.
As fate would have it, I called one of my friends to see if I could get a ride. Unfortunatly, when we got to the vet, the nurses were still there, but the vets had gone for the day. They told us there would be a emergancy number to call the vet, but it would be at an extra cost. Not knowing how long my Ayla would have left, I knew I had to call, but was still faced with the dimela of paying for the bill.
Luckily, my friend offered to cover for me, and agreed to charge the bill on a credit card, so I could play my friend back in payments. So well called the vet, who was clearly unhappy that I bothered him at home, but still came to the office.
He looked Ayla over, and told me that her uterus was infected, and that she had to have surgery to get it removed. He then prescribed her with some antibiotics, and said to make an appointment for her surgery on Tuesday.
The first bill came out to $180. <_< ($130 for the visit, and the rest for the medicine)
The actual surgery came out to $414. ; ;
Well, after all that's happened, Ayla had her surgery, and is back to her normal self. (Biting me and all <_< wink
As corny as it may sound, I think the bond between her and me is now stronger, because I thought I was going to lose her, and I think when she was at the vet's overnight, she thought I had left her or something. (She was so happy to be home after the surgery)
Out of all my pets I've ever had, I think the bond between me and her is closer, because I raised her from from a kitten, hand feeding her and all.
I did some reading on what she had, and found out it was common in unspayed cats, and that if she wouldn't of had the surgery, she would have indeed died.
So, bottom line, kids, is spay your pets early, if you don't plan on breeding them, it makes them healthier pets in the long run.
Well, other than that, Shiroi is not 21 and legal lol.
That's all I can think of for now. <_<
Ja ne.
