There was once a time
A time you would ask me why.
Why,
Do I always look into your eyes.

I would smile and turn
Saying they are what makes me learn.
I learn about you and your dreams
And that things are not what they always seem.

Your eyes are the windows to your soul
That open for me and me alone.
Others can not see
All that you show to me.

Your eyes burn with fire
Fire that grows and never tires.
Your eyes keep me safe
Letting me know I am not alone in this place.

I learn many things
Things only your eyes can tell me.
So that is why
I always look into your eyes.
