In English class, we've been making poems. Here's one of mine. It's a sonnet, but it doesn't have the right puncuation for a pastiche (mimic poem). Enjoy!
Your wings flutter over your graceful back. Clouds are no match against skin as soft, pale. I cannot reach your heart behind my mask and yet you gave me your hand without fail. As we become one, I feel the ice break in my heart. My velvet wings emerge too. Warning you of the choice you are to make. There is no way back when you become my beau. You just cheerfully smile and grasp me close, knowing the risks against us by our breeds. Hearts unite and a kiss tells what we chose. It's only us as we ignore all heeds. With our eternal lives filled with freedom, We stand in love, an angel and demon.
As you can tell, it's an angel-demon love poem in the demon's point of view. I really like the theme of a dark-light clash of any kind, so out came this poem. I probably will post more poems of mine since I have nothing else to do. I would really like feedback.
