I could've held you in my arms

I could've held you so tight

I would've relish in your warmth

I would keep you from the storm


I remembered your voice

How you sounded so forelorn

My tears kept falling

Faster than the pouring rain

You smiled a genuine smile

Masking all your pain


My heart never stopped racing

I wanted you, nothing more

And every time I close my eyes

I want to dream of you

These feelings forever soar

my shaking hands they could only detest

detest the way the world would be

be so hateful, mocking me
