I never knew that it would come to this, but it has.
I'm doing a half-a** job in Chemistry, and I feel that too much computer time is a chunk of the reason why. So, I'm quitting Gaia, and the computer, overall, for a while. Until Thanksgiving vacation, or until I bring all As to the table.
First of all, I want y'all - my friends, fellow Gaians - that I love you all. And that you're the reason I love this place so much. Especially my friends in my guilds, in my favourite debates - y'all make this little Texan's time on Gaia totally worthwhile.
But a balance must come into play. I can't deal with the crappy grades anymore. I can't get online for hours on end. I have to study.
I remind and encourage those of you that are still workin' on school to always put your studies first. And that your grades can determine whether you go to an Ivy League school, or make it to the Bestseller's list, or work for that amazing company, or just wind up on welfare, unable to give your kids what they deserve.
So, I'm being the responsible adult here. For the first time in my life, I'm growing up. Taking a step forward. And deciding for myself to limit - if not diminish - my computer time until my grades are high quality, once more.
Thanks for reading, you guys. I really love you all, and am anxious to get to talk to you when I get back, on Thanksgiving break. Or even sooner, if my grades go up.
Much love,
Ebbers <3
