Nekocon 9 synopsis!
Okay, it's a little late, but whatever. I've been a little busy with role-playing (as usual) to really wake up to Neko!
Anyway, it started out on Friday. My friend Biri got to my house at about noonish, havin' been let off work early. The first thing he says when he comes in is, "I'm seriously thinkin' about going to Neko..."
Couple hours later, I have a bag of clothes hung over one shoulder and we're on our way to Neko, two hours down the road! *applause*
So yeah, we get to the con at about seven-ish on Friday night, with out a hotel room to stay in and enough money for passes and food. We planned so far ahead, didn't we?
I enjoyed my first day of "gophering" at the con. All I did was basically set up for the rave and then watch the auction pictures before Artists Alley closed. *nod* *nod*
Oh, did I mention that I was cosplaying? Yes! If you saw me, I was cosplaying as Mana-sama from the band Malice Mizer! whee
But, yes...where was I? Biri was helping me gophering for a little while, but then he left to go to the rave--which I did not want to go to, because I don't dance--so they sent another gopher to help me watch the pictures. Why did we need two gophers? I dont know.
This other gopher started talking to me and I spilled that I didn't have a room. "I'm prob'ly gonna just sleep out in the car..." I'd sighed.
"Oh, no!" the gopher, named Bret, said. "I can't let you do that!" So after Artist's Alley closed at midnight, he literally took me to his hotel room and let me sleep on the floor. I couldn't complain, I was warm! whee
But yeah, the next morning I woke up with two girls staring at me like I was the devil. Hello, random crossdresser in your room right when you wake up? I prob'ly didn't look that good anyway, seeing as I didn't even take my make-up off.
Ah well, we were all introduced and it was all peachy-keen and fine-and-dandy. They didn't mind me staying at all. They thought I was kinda funny. sweatdrop
So, yeah. Saturday was spent in the games room, visiting the Dealers room, going through Artist's Alley again, and glomping the only Gackt cosplayer in the whole convention--((I GOT A PICTURE OF HIM ON MY PHONE! :WHEE smile )--as well as all my favorite characters--like Lina Inverse from "The Slayers", the first anime I ever watched.
But yeah. Saturday was over waaay too quickly. I only went to two pannels the whole day! An AMV pannel--flippin' sweet!--and a Jrock cosplay pannel. Hee. Fit, didn't it?
So, yeah, Sunday appeared and it, too was over too quickly. Bret and all the guys that I'd hung out with all weekend left about three-ish and then I had to wait for Biri to finish up gophering--which I hadn't touched since friday, sweatdrop --before we could leave.
I was sad to leave Nekocon on Sunday. I had omg, so much fun! It was great! I can't wait to go back next year!
Ps, did I mention that Neko was my first convention EVER?
Hee. Now this weekend I have A-USA to look forward to!
