The sky is sad today. It try’s to smile but it quickly fades away. A soft half hearted laugh gently caresses my ear. Trying to be comforting, when I should be, it wraps itself about me. Oh sky, smile wide. Let the sun come play, before your cold breath chills me to the grave.
And the rain starts. Sky, why are you crying? Your heaving breath freezing the tears to my skin. Do you morn the loss of summer? I should go in. But I fear what you might do if I walk away.
The defining sounds are pelting me into the ground. Sinking with you, as you fade away. Into yourself I see you hide. Setting, you don’t even think to give a lonely goodbye.
