Chapter 1 How fast the years fly by. From being born, to now, seventy eight years later. I constently reguard the past. All the horrible things that sting my heart with a poison that I can not bare. Arya though helplessly as she sat completely alone on a bare boulder in the middle of a crystal clear lake. The helpless elven looked up at the stars and woundered to herself if the sting would keep on comming. It seemed like the heavy burden of her past weighted down on her more then most would think. A splash from behind her brought her back to reality, however. The young elven turned her head suddenly and steared over at the far end of the crystal clear lake. The brightness of the radient moon reflecting off the water made the sensitive young girl almost blind, however. She helplessly shielded her eyes, switching her infrared vision over to normal human-like though oddly sharper vision, to allow her eyes to slowly adjust to the blinding reflection. When she saw the humanoid body beyond her line of sight on the far bank of the lake, she knew exactly, or atleast guessed what was going on. Quickly, she pulled the long, perfectly crafted bow from the soft-green quiver that was gentaly hugged to her back. She strung the bow with one swift, strong movement, pulled a black shafted, black feathered arrow from the quiver, and knocked the bow, all in less then a minute. She tensed a bit, and aimed the arrow towards the ground by the humanoid, pulled back before letting the strain go, sending the arrow flying through the air, and stuck into the soft bank ground right beside the humanoid. Just like the young elven suspected, it ran away into the forest. Arya smiled satisfied, and unstrung her bow, adding it back to her quiver. Arya, being dressed in a short strapless-bra looking leather shirt with buckles as sleeves, and elven crafted black leather shorts, with knee-high black elven crafted, buckled boots, it wasnt hard to tell she was elven, and it wasnt hard to move around easily. She also, however, wore a long deep deep dark green cloak so that when she was in the woods, she'd bled in quite well. However, this was not all. She carried two scimitars at her belt, two daggers in her shoes, and had her light blonde hair up in a light pony tail, though her hair still came to atleast her shoulders. Her bangs, that were long and came tickling her cheeks and chin was decorated with elven beeds, or soft green fabric that twisted around the hairs. She was quite gorgeous aswell. Of course being elven, she had curves and was quite skinny, with slightly pointed ears and soft green eyes. Soft light red lips that always contained a smile, and a beautifal light tan. This elf, however, was six foot tall, and was no novice to war. She might be young, but this elf had been in battles normal elves wouldnt see intill they were atleast two hundred years old. Calling upon her elven magic, she stepped upon the crystal clear water ever so lightly, her hair swaying a bit, before she advanced to the shoreline. She was curious who that humanoid-or what-was, and her confidence did not let her down.
Arya soon came to the shore line. It didnt take her very long since she had long fluidical strides, and was walking pretty fast. She sensed a unfarmiliar presense but it didnt bother the elven one bit. She proudly went into the path, looking down the long straight dirt road, before around real quick. Her attention was brought around to a light sneeze, and a shuffle behind a tree. "Come out!" Arya yelled in the elven tongue. However, she had said it so dimandedly, if it was a human, which she expected, they wouldnt go so kindly to her tone of voice.
A growl and a grumble came from behind then tree, before a husky man came out from the right side, holding a dog on a long chain leash. Scars crossed the mans face, and even his dog had a few scars in its black furred face. "What do ye want with me, elf!?" The husky man shouted back, making Arya flinch a bit because she heared him.. alittle to well. The dog growled and drooled out of its muzzle, just waiting the oppurtinity to take a bite out of the elven women. "State you business on elven ground!" Arya demanded, replying with a commanding tone that even made the husky man step back once. "Do ye really think i'd tell ye anythin' about why im here, elf?" The man replyed. His speach disgusted Arya, but being a ranger she took kindly in everything, no matter how gross or evil they were. "Yes. Im a ranger in these parts and Im allowed to question you on why you are here in elve-" Arya was cut off when the drooling dog was set free and tackled her. The dog got a few caws in Arya's stomach and thighs, and hovered its large drooling head over Arya's snapping wildly. Arya held the dog back enough where the large canine teeth didnt find any flesh, but the drool was a different problem. After a few seconds, Arya managed to get an opportunity to smite the dog, which she took without hesitation. She unsheathed her scimitar, and shuved it in the dogs stomach. Blood poored out of the wound, and the dog let out a wild yelp, and snapped again at Arya's face, getting close enough where Arya felt the hairs on the dogs muzzle. Arya pulled the scimitar back then plundged it in again, and brought it closer to her, cutting a deep gash into the dogs underside. The dog gave another yelp, and tumbled over. However, Arya was met by the husky man's axe as he pointed it at her face. "Dont ye even be thinkin about movin, lady." Before Arya, or the Husky man could do anything else, a black shafted arrow hot through the air and stuck perfectly into the ground beside them. The man growled but didnt dare to move away from Arya, because if so, if Arya had a chance, the Husky man knew she'd bring him down. "Come out, ye damn archer!" The husky man called into the woods where the Arrow had come from. Only the breeze made noise then. Nothing happened. Arya sighed heavily, before kicking the Husky man in the knee, causing him to buckle a bit, but was just enough time for her to roll away and jump up to her feet, pulling out her scimitars, and grabbing her other. Arya's expression was past mercy at this point, but like all rangers, she had some sympathy for everything. The Husky man was lucky. Another black shafted arrow stuck into the ground only milimeters from the Man's foot. He growled again, grabbed his dog, and ran down the long path.
Arya watched him the whole time, before sheathing her scimitars, a bit sadly, as she looked at her blood stained clothes. She sighed helplessly and looked into the woods. "Come out."
The trees whistled as the breeze blew through them, yet.. no one came from the woods. Arya knew there was someone there, and she waited, patiently, for almost an hour, before someone actuely did come out. Garbed much like Arya, wearing all black, with long black hair, and a black bow, with a white quiver full of black arrows, the man grinned and bowed to the elven woman. "Patience.. good.." He mumbled under his breath, though Arya's keen ears heared him perfectly. She crossed her arms over her chest and, without even one blink stared at him. "Who are you? Name, Race?" Arya asked, in a calm, sadistic tone. "Ahh, Keiji is my name. Human ranger, is what I am.." He seemed to taunt her. Arya nodded. "What are you doing here?" "The same reason you are, just slightly different.." The ranger replyed, burring the tip of his bown into the ground beside him.
