Where to start? As far back as I can remember I was listening to music, like the Beach Boys. Of course I don't listen to that much anymore. I didn't think much about music when I started to sing along with the words of my favorite Beach Boys songs. At first I wasn't much good, but as the years went on I developed my voice to make it clearer. Now since I'm into really into music, I've started to practice my guitar more often. Now Since I've started into heavey rock death metal and heavey metal I've had to change my voice once again to meatch the voice and words of my favorite song. I have advice for you also if you would like to get itno music also. Well Let's see here. I wouls suggest taking some of your favorite music and then picking a band. Now if you would like to listen to one song over and over again you may. I would not suggest this becuase it gets boring and your have more of a tendancy to give up. Now listen to that cd/mp3/whatever till you know the words. Your voice is going to sound shitty if you haven't really sung before. Stick to hard rock before you go on to music with screaming in it. Not once you know the words of the song you like work on your voice. Matching the tones and knowing how long to hold a note. A good way to practice is to listen to your music while doing homework. Another good way is to listen to your mp3 player before school. Anotehr thing I should metntion is that if your really wanting to get into the music thing like I am. Use an empty paper towl roll as a microphone. I know it sounds extrememly stupid, but I do it all the time. Even though I am a really good singer (By my standers.) I still have to practice.
