My thoughts are dark,
no one can see.
That this will always,
be the side of me...

My thoughts are dark,
on which I ride.
They are like wings,
on which I can glide...

On them I can travel far,
to make friends with the dark.
Near,
and far...

But these thoughts are also a curse,
binding me to the ground.
Always showing what's ahead,
something abound...

These thoughts are me,
apart and akin.
But they do not control me,
I use them now and than...

My friends hope to understand,
what really makes me tick.
Do they think that they can?
Understand, the darkness that makes me tick...

I show it to them now and than,
to see if they really understand.
But they all leave me,
afraid of who I am...

I thank thee,
the ones that really see.
The darkness that resides,
inside of me...

And choose not to run away,
but to come to.
To help me in any way,
even though it may not seem that way...

I in turn offer this,
one undying promise.
That no matter what the cost,
you have my service...

I am the dark angel,
a guardian of the night.
If ever you doubt yourself,
call on me to see if your right...

For if not for these dark thoughts,
where would this world be?
For without these dark thoughts,
who would combat the light?
