Warriors Destiny

Every time I close my eyes
I can clearly see
Past lives and memories
Sword in hand
Standing engaged in battle
Sword swinging wildly
To prove my destiny
But that was the past
Lives gone like sand in the wind
Now is the present
It compels me ever forward
I dream of nothing more
Then to carve my destiny
My eternal image in time
My warriors’ soul tells me so
Pushing me to the fight
To protect love in the line of battle
I will stand true and strong
Holding my ground
I can see it, feel it and taste it
But I cannot touch it
For it is not mine to have
Only to dream of
But if anyone needs help
I’ll be there
If they cry in the night
I’ll be there
So here I sit
Waiting and dreaming
