Time...By: James L. Totti
Time is a trivial being,
Forever around us, but never there;
Could time really be seeing?
Or just driving us to despair?
Time is forever, never ending
We, but a speck of dust, quickly vanishing;
Civilizations rise and fall, we grow old and weak;
Time equals immortality, for which we constantly seek.
What is time, an essence?
Or is it just a presence?
Something made from nothingness,
Or created by a void of blackness?
Time is something we will never heed
Something we shall never grasp,
For we, as a people, shall forever bleed
Never to escape the ravages of time.
Forever around us, but never there;
Could time really be seeing?
Or just driving us to despair?
Time is forever, never ending
We, but a speck of dust, quickly vanishing;
Civilizations rise and fall, we grow old and weak;
Time equals immortality, for which we constantly seek.
What is time, an essence?
Or is it just a presence?
Something made from nothingness,
Or created by a void of blackness?
Time is something we will never heed
Something we shall never grasp,
For we, as a people, shall forever bleed
Never to escape the ravages of time.
