Katsuga stared at Sanku, who winced in pain as the wound opened and bled more. She regained her composure and narrowed her eyes. "I never will, vampire." Sanku looked at her, shocked, as she pushed off him and sky-dove. Sanku yelled for her, holding out his hand.

Katsuga landed with a BAM. She coughed up some blood as she rolled over on the cement. Her gun lay only a few feet away. Katsuga finally rolled on to her back and lay there, breathing. Am I alive? She asked herself. The sky had a greyish-purple complextion now. The sun was about to rise. Sanku would die if he stayed. Despite her condition, Katsuga smiled at the thought of the vampire dieing. She slowly slipped into sleep, holding her broken arm with the other.

"Mommy!" Katsuga yelled happily. Her mother looked up from the dishes, and smiled. "Katsuga, you're home early!" Katsuga nodded. "The school master got sick again." Kaiga looked at the clock as she shined the plate in her hand with a cloth. "Well, since we have time together, why don't we take a walk?" Katsuga gasped and smiled. "Really, mommy?! Can we take Shiba?" The dog looked up at the sound of his name, hoping for some scraps. Kaiga laughed. "Why not. Come on, before the sun sets, Katsuga! You too, Shiba." The dog yapped and wagged his tail.

Sumoko looked at the mother and daughter, smiling. "So, this is the girl Sanku likes so much? Well, that b***h's mother ripped me off today. Nobody dares do such a thing to me." He looked at the sun. "I have limited time before Sanku comes out." He grabbed a dagger from his belt and twirled it. "Feel metal, Kaiga..."

Katsuga cried over her dead mother. "Why? Why did mommy have to go, why?" She wailed in between sobs. Shiba nuzzled Katsuga fondly. She waved him away as she kneeled next to her mother. "Sh-shiba, what will we do? We can't live without mommy..." Shiba licked the ten-year-old's face, trying to cheer her up. Katsuga continued sobbing. Sanku rushed over to them. "K-katsuga! What happened? Your mother..." Katsuga looked at him, terrified. Shiba growled. Sanku stumbled up. "Oh no... I-I didn't..." Sumoko cackled from within Sanku. 'Yes, you did...' Sanku fell to his knees. "No...I-I'm not a killer!" Katsuga took several steps back, and finally started running away. "Don't kill me! Please, I'll do anything!" She sobbed, terrified. Sanku felt tears on his cheeks. "Sh-she was so nice...why did you kill her Sumoko...?" He put his hand on the bloody body of Kaiga. Shiba bit him, growling. Sanku felt blood on his hand. "Sumoko... why? A-answer me..." Sumoko simply cackled within Sanku.
"I said... ANSWER ME!!!" He roared, tears flowing down his cheeks.
Sumoko stared at him, smiling. 'You're crying already? Please, I'll kill many more in this life time.' Sanku stopped breathing from shock. "Y-you will...?" Sumoko got a mad look in his face as he sniggered. 'Yes, many more! MORE!'

Katsuga blinked awake. Shiba licked her and whined. The old one had died just a year ago. This Shiba was only two. Katsuga smiled weakly and put her hand behind his ears, scratching behind it gently. "It's been 5 years now, hasn't it...?" She coughed, blood trickling out of her mouth. "I'm sorry, mother..."
