I warped over to a ridge near where I had heard Odori scream, we were training again, and she had probably challenged something way to strong for her to handle. I sighed, but started running towards where I thought her voice had come from, hping she wasn't dead yet. Magic-- both light and dark-- was easy, a ressurection wasn't. Even getting a high priest, or even a sage with the nessacary skills to talk to you was difficult, the process alone was very expensive. More than 50 million gold was something I didn't have.
I was close to her now, i felt her specific aura, weak- but still very much alive. I sighed in relief as I ran over a hill and saw her all beat up on the ground. A decapitated wolf lay near her feet in a pool of blood, as much her own as it was the wolf's. A few arrow's were sticking out of the corpse, she had failed to hit any vital spots.
"Odori!" I said as I got nearer, "What happened? Who killed that thing?"
"I don't know who he is, but he said he would be back with a potion."
I looked around the valley, but i saw no one coming or going, "Till he comes back I'll heal as many of your injuries as I can, alright?"
She nodded, I could tell moving even a little bit was very painful. I decided to start with a large tear in her leg, passing my hand slowly over the injury. A light formed under my hand and the wond closed when the magic came in contact with it.
"Not bad." said a voice from behind me, I jumped, 'this person isn't normal or I would have felt his presence.' I thought.
"Here's the potion." he said, tossing me a vial of orange liquid and walking away.
"Wait!" I called after him, he turned around, but still walking backwards.
"What?" he shouted back
"What's your name?" he was moving farther and farther away
"Manji." I just barely heard it as he dissapeared into the distance.
