You'd think, with all the fuss she puts towards my grades, she would at the very least TRY to act like she cares about anything else, and not just half-a** it. I mean ********, she never goes all the way. Not with me at least.
My dad's good with it, though. As long as I'm passing, He's fine, and if he doesn't like the grade I'm getting, he tells me, and doesn't ask, "What's this?" He gets right to the point, that man. God knows how much I love him for it. He does something about it, too. He'll tell me that he's expecting me to do the dishes, and that it'll be punishment, and that's that, the next thing you know, he's telling me a funny story about how he tried to bullshit my uncle into thinking that a half dozen minnows that are swimming in the fishtank are rare Japanese Fighting Fish.
My mom just half asses it. You'd think that if she's trying to tell you she cares, she'd go the whole nine yards with it, and not just leave you with a stern talking to. It annoys the hell out of me. And then she has the audacity to try the guilt trip on me? What the ********? Do you know how long its been since I started not caring about my school work? Five years. Five ******** years. She's been doing the same thing to me for five years. I've been through the same thing at least a thousand times or more, and it never works The most it does is annoys me so much, so that when she actually threatens me with taking my drawing book away, I have to laugh at her, because I know she's not gonna do it. She never does. She never has. And I'm quite certain that she never will.
Thats what pisses me off, what really pisses me off. If you're gonna try and do something about it, don't you dare make idle threats to a child, because you're teaching them that you'll never do a damned thing about it. Its like cussing. If a kid sees an adult type figure doing it, it teaches them to do the same thing, and they know its okay to do. If you make an idle threat to anybody, and don't follow through(For thats what an 'idle' threat is) then it teaches them that no one's ever gonna do anything about the thing that they're doing, and they know that they can get away with it.
It really just pisses me off, royally. Why won't she bloody well punish me already? Its like she doesn't care, just so long as my grades are up, like she doesn't care about anything else I do. I know she must, but she doesn't show it. She asks ME what she should do. I always ask her in turn what she thinks SHE she do. That always annoys her. But its her job to do the punishing, to decide the punishment, not mine. It really makes me wonder. It really does...
