What if a child only spoke wise words?
What if a man is blind only because he does not wish to see?
What if a deaf girl just refuses to hear?
What if a mute child does not speak for fear of what will come out?
And what if the sky were green instead of blue?
If the moking bird crowed?
Or if the black crow sang a lulliby?
What if things weren't what they seemed?
Silver grass instead of green.
A little different here and there.
Would people just stare?
Or would they break from the everyday mold?
To make this world a little less cold.
To write a lovely song
Draw a beautiful picture
Sing a tale of a thousand victories
With an adoring crowd
What if people didn't care what others thought?
Would the world be less absorbed?
Would people be kinder or smarter?
Maybe even less old?
Things are meant to be the way they are
But does it hurt to ask a question?
A question others forbid you to ask
Would you still ask it?
If you knew you were going to hear bad news
Would you still listen?
Answer me this.........
if you knew there's no possible answer
Would you still ask the question?
