In the faraway land of Tethe'alla, Lloyd and his friends are celebrating their victory in saving Sylvarant and Tethe'alla from catastrophy. All members of the party have come together at Meltokio, the capital of Tethe'alla.

Lloyd, Genis, Colette, and Raine are sitting together at the Sylvarant Guests Table. Genis and Lloyd were eating as much as they could, putting mouthfuls after mouthfuls of food in their mouth. Colette was eating patiently, unlike Genis and Lloyd. Raine, on the other hand, was not eating at all...Lloyd noticed this and asked "Hey Raine, why aren't you eating? This food is great!". Raine looked at Lloyd and said "I just lost my appetite looking at you two, you should, at least, eat the same way Colette is doing here. Genis and Lloyd looked at Raine then, at Colette. Both of them blushed for a little then, slowed down on the eating.

While the Sylvarant members were eating, The Tethe'alla members were sitting together at the Tethe'alla Guests Table. Sheena, Presea, Regal, and Zelos were eating together as peacefully as they could. Suddenly, Zelos stood up holding his cup of wine. He said in a very charismatic voice, "My hunnies and gentlemen, I will propose a toast to the king and queen of Meltokio for helping us make this victory possible". The king and queen stood from their thrones and took their cups of wine. "Cheers!" said the King. Everybody stood and toasted with the king and queen.

After everybody sat down, Sheena said under her voice "Show off". Presea heard this and laughed while drinking her wine. Regal had loved to see the smile on Presea's face as he remembered of Alicia. He continued eating with his hands that were free from his cuffs. Sheena hadn't see that his hands were free so, she asked Regal, "Hey Regal, When did you get those cuffs off your hands?". Regal looked at her and answered, "Well, the king offered to remove my cuffs as a sign of his gratitude. I accepted his offer because I already have avenged Alicia's death and that was my goal before I could take these cuffs off." Sheena and Zelos looked at Regal very weirdly and Regal started to get a sense that they didn't understand what he meant.

Meanwhile, back at the Sylvarant Guest Table, Raine was looking at the ceiling without ever taking a bite from her food. Lloyd, Genis, and Colette wondered about what was their teacher doing.

Ever since Kratos has traveled to the world of Derris-Kharlan, she has kept thinking about him, her one true love. She has always thought of what he was doing, up in Derris-Kharlan. Closing her eyes, a tear ran down her cheeks and her face, dripping on to her gown.

Lloyd saw what happened and asked Raine, "Hey Raine, Can I talk to you in private for a sec?". Raine responded, "Sure, Lloyd". They both walked outside the castle into the nightlife. Lloyd asked, "Raine, I noticed that something was going through your head. What is it?". Raine looked at Lloyd nervously then, looked away. She responded, "I was just wondering where your father went". Lloyd said, "What? You mean Kratos?". Raine said impatiently, "You know what? Let's just go back in and have fun. How about that?". Lloyd was confused and said, "Ok...". Raine gave him a face noting that she was no longer feeling any sorrow.

Lloyd and Raine walked through the castle doors and into the party not knowing that their journey was not over yet.
