Wow. I almost forgot until I looked at my signature. It's my second Gaiaversary today! I am two years old! Amazing. Who would have thought that I'd still be a Gaian after all this time? Haha. There have been some bad times, some good times, and some scary times in my time here on Gaia.

I guess I joined sometime recently after Personals were removed, just because I hear about them every so often when I'm lurking in the GCD. Well, I guess I first heard about Gaia through bw-inc on deviantART where she would upload avatar art and comment about "go-gaia" ... for the longest time I had no idea what she was talking about, then I just punched it into the URL bar one day, then gaiaonline came up! I was greatly confused, but signed up. That was still when there was the original referral system, so I just said that bw-inc guided me here via deviations!

For a while I was lost and had no idea what was going on or what I was supposed to be doing. The idea of gaining virtual "gold" to buy pixelated "clothes" for a little "doll" seemed kind of unusual at first, but then I found myself glued to the computer with the need to get more and more. The Gaia bug had bitten me and I was addicted. No too much later I told my friends about Gaia and they signed up too! It was very exciting. We'd sit there in class and make threads in the Friends Chat subforum and just post and talk to each other from across the room. If I recall correctly, I remember some time in my first week I made a thread in the Q&A asking what "BUMP" meant XD I was a sheltered little Gaian... and I think when I first joined I sold my Peasant's Dress right away so that I could buy a cooler looking shirt. That shirt happened to be the Olive Green Dont Ask Dont Tell Shirt from Barton Boutique. I thought I looked awesome.

My first quest, if you can even call it that, was for the Pilot's Goggles hat. I thought it was the neatest thing. I don't think I ever got it, I was too busy buying other items when I thought that 1000g was a lot of money. My first real quest was for an OMFG. I think my second real quest was for Bani Clips which, at the time, cost around 15k. I thought they'd look amazing equipped with my OMFG. When I finally got them and went to put them on, I was sorely disappointed that they unequipped my OMFG. I hated the layering system and out of anger I re-sold them right away XD!

I remember when I first joined, the only game was Fishing, and it really frustrated me. After a while, a new layout was imposed and Towns was introduced along with the Profile and Housing system. Eventually Gold Mountain opened and there was Slots for all to enjoy. I sucked at them and really wanted another Casino game like Poker or Blackjack. Then voila! Blackjack appeared. Not so long ago, Word Bump showed up, and most recently Jigsaw has come to be. I think it's awesome the progression of games since my time here on Gaia. It's amazing.

Events were interesting. I had no idea what I was doing. I think that Halloween 2005 was my favourite event of all the time that I've been a member of Gaia. Just because it was the event that I achieved my level 3 Grombie skin. I plan to keep this skin as long as I possibly can. I love it, plus there's only a bunch of us Grombies left on the face of Gaia. I enjoy seeing, "Whoa, a zombie" when I go into Towns. Or when I ask for my avatar to be rated in the Chatterbox I usually either get people who love Grombie skin or hate it, but I don't care if they hate it, it's too precious for me to get rid of. I don't know what I'd do without it... I'm so used to it! I'd probably go mad if I didn't have it~!

I also managed to get a couple of scam attempts too in my two years. One was from some guy who PMed me about an item I had for sale in my store, and I told him no, but he sent the trade anyways but I just cancelled it. So I went and checked out his profile and there was a mountain of comments about how he had sent other people the same thing, but in the second half he would take off a zero at the end of the gold amount; so if he was trading 8000g, in the second half he'd change it to 800g. It was really sneaky and ridiculous. Another time I just got a PM from some random hacker. I was just one of those "We need to check your account, please give me your password" kind of PMs. I enjoy reporting those kinds of things. It makes me feel special and like I'm worth something (:

On that topic, for two years I've managed to rack up quite a hefty inventory. So today I decided to do a count (on TekTek) to see how much I'm worth on the day that I joined two years ago today. So, I am worth: 3,582,944 Gold (Estimated with known item values on 19 January 2007). Wow, 3.5mil. That's amazing!!

Well, Gaia's been an awesome experience and I can't wait to see what's next heart !
