Chapter 2
The Bite of a Wolf
Evan was standing at the edge of the lake skipping stones across the water. Unknown to him a gleaming pair of eyes were watching this boy from a nearby bush. The owner of these eyes was watching and waiting for the right moment. And then at that moment he saw it. He ran from behind the bush and he pounced on the boy. "Ahhhhhhh," Evan screamed in pain as a wolf ran from behind a bush pouncing on him and the it bit him on the wrist. Evan started to bleed profusely. Evan looked around to search for the wolf, but it had disappeared. Just my luck Evan thought to himself. When he looked down at his wrist it had stopped bleeding and the bite marks were shrinking before his very eyes. All that was left was a puncture wound. Evan thought to himself what's going on with me? " Evan said, "If dad found out about this...he would surely tell mom." How could you let this happen? he could practically hear his mothers worried voice. She treats me like I'm a kid, but I'm 18. It's about time she treated me like an adult. As carefully as he could Evan crept back into his sleeping bag. And fell into a deep sleep. Unknown to anyone the wolf howled to the full moon and the moon was hidden by the clouds. The wolf shed his fur and became the man he really was. The man spoke in a hushed whisper "The prophecy is now complete."
