Ink and Paper Garden
All that is real anymore is my imagination Dark and corrupted I grope around for my light Hoping to stumble towards you Promises of nectar and candy Turn to barbed wire and puffs of menthol
And I look for you Look for my sunlight Look for my warmth Strain to hear your voice Calling out
In my darkness I find a jewel Shining bright I move closer It becomes a window Peering through I see you Writhing in a tangle of thorns I want to gouge my eyes out
And I look for you Look for my sunlight Look for my warmth Strain to hear your voice Calling out
In my ink and paper garden there is no hope But then my darkness opens Bathed in new found sunlight Out comes my angel Smile on your face
And I've found you Found my sunlight Found my warmth I hear you clearly Holding you close
