I'm going for more of a personal to-my-friends journal entry this time, I think, rather than a guess-what's-up-with-me journal entry.
So! A questionaire, maybe? No....not really in the mood. I'll just write some things about friends.
Let's see. Claire....Claire is a very good writer. I tend to get very involved in her plotlines and characters, and the only faults I ever see with her writing is when she gets so into the characters that she sort of loses focus.... sweatdrop But I think that just shows what a wide and wild imagination she has.
Zeta is also a really talented writer. I haven't read enough of her stuff lately to tell much of how she's progressed in that area, but I do know that she's had some "hits" like Pip Snickerson and that one.....something about family and friends? sweatdrop I tend to like her stories better than her poems, not because she writes bad poems but because her stories are even BETTER. I think the flavor of her writing has changed as she as a person has changed, which is probably a mark of a good writer!
I've only read one story of Emma's, the one based off of Anna Lucia. I found that her talents seem to be the opposite of Claire's; her description of characteristics and settings is what stands out to me rather than the plot or character development (for the record I place neither above the other, and Claire also has good description and Emma also has good characters and plot). I feel like her description of a harried, busy Anna Lucia really got me actually feeling the emotion.
SamE....ah, what can we say about her! She likes the sappy stories, eh? Yes....very good at those, too. Her stories always make me go, "aww, that's so sweet/sad" against my will! The rain was really symbolic and interesting in this one story of hers I read, and I thought it was so cool how she incorporated it. Her stories remind me of manga characters!
Maya. Maya, as I have recently discovered, is a much more talented writer than she gives herself credit for! Granted, I've never read a story of hers, but she'd better write one so I can read it!!! I think Maya has a talent for capturing a real life emotion and putting it into poetic words so that everyone can connect with it.
