To start off with a bang on Gaia for 2007, we first experience the double gold week on the first week of 2007. However, that's not what I’m talking about; it's about the January monthly collectables! On January 15, 2007, many gaians were excited to know what were the items for this month. Surprisingly, it was Gift of the Goddess, in which can turn into many forms. Actually, the names of the different kinds of forms for that item relate to the goddesses Athena, Kaguya, and many more. But, that isn't it! There was the Damascus armor, in which can turn into many other forms as well. It sure beats having that kind of armor in a deadly situation! Once I read the news about the items revealed, I decided to ask some of the gaians what they thought about it. Luckily, I was able to talk to Crystal2 and darkiceprincess12 about it.

AAW: What did you think about them?
Crystal2: The armor is...well, it's like an improvement of the mythrill armor. It’s already been done. The gift of the goddess is more original and I like that more.
AAW: But when you first heard the clues that were given in the announcements, what were the ideas you had in mind that they would be?
Crystal2: Well... for the capital thing, I knew it, but I couldn't see where it would fit in for the items. The rest of the clues, I didn't bother deciphering. The items were going to come out in a few days and I could wait.
AAW: Which of the two items do you think will be the most popular one? And why?
Crystal2: I think it will be the gift of the goddess because of its capabilities, such as being able to hold many items at once. Also, it comes from different goddesses, like Kaguya. She was from the 2nd Inuyasha movie and probably a lot of Inuyasha fans will want that.
AAW: What do you think about the 3 items issue?
Crystal2: Well, I would rather have 3 items for December. I don’t want it for every month because, for the people who are unable to donate to Gaia, they will have to pay large amounts of gold to get each one.
AAW: Lastly, what would you want to see in next month's collectible items?
Crystal2: I would want to see something really creative. A new plushie would be nice. I would really like if they began giving out the older items so inflation would decrease a little and more people would be able to get them.

AAW: What do you think about the donations items/monthly collectables overall?
Darkiceprincess12: Some of them are great items such as the lunar cloak, kiki, coco, and katana, others not so good. I think the price for them in the market place is unfair. Since $1.00(not sure) = 2,000g and donation items cost $2.50 that would be 5,000g instead of 19,000 and such.
AAW: How about this month’s donation items/monthly collectables?
Darkiceprincess12: I liked the gift of the goddess.
AAW: But when you first heard the clues that were given in the announcements, what were the ideas you had in mind that they would be?
Darkiceprincess12: For the first clue (What's the capital of Syria?):
I seriously had no clue
For the 2nd clue (What was Paul McCartney's band after the Beatles?):
Once again no clue
For the 3rd one (How can you hold a bunch of stuff when you've only got two hands?) :

Anyways, I thought it had something to do with animals. And it sort of did...
AAW: Which of the two items do you think will be the most popular one? And why?
Darkiceprincess12: Gift of goddess, in my opinion looks way cooler, and in the exchange (and maybe marketplace, haven't checked) it seems to worth more than the Damascus armor; everyone (that chose the Damascus armor instead of gift of goddess) seems to want to exchange it for gift of goddess. A lot more people want the gift of goddess rather than the Damascus armor.
(Once again the gift of goddess is very pretty (some of them) and cool)
AAW: What do you think about the 3 items issue?
Darkiceprincess12: I won't say I'm against, but I won't say I'm for it either. It would be nice to have 3 items to choose from. On the other hand it might raise the prices of letters (I don't know really know but that’s what I think)(not to mention very hard to decide what to get if all the items are good)
AAW: Lastly, what would you want to see in next month's collectible items?
Darkiceprincess12: Not sure what I want to see, but maybe something anime related.
