Something is scaring me. Very, very, frightening.
In Flyff, an online game [that's not so popular, to admit it], I found a player named "xGackt." He was level 20, while I was 50 levels ahead of him. Of course, due to my excitement of his username, I became friends with him, therefore putting him on my friends list. He was kind, and whenever I logged on, he was excited to see me. He would immediately message me, "Lulu-hime! x]" I wasn't in love or anything, but I never knew that a college student would be this kind. As I moved on to level 71, he already paced up to around level 40-55, and I was shocked with his leveling. xGackt was still happy to see me, if I was away for a long time or not.
As my computer restrictions came, I could hardly go on Flyff, so I couldn't see any of my friends. I quickly (and amazingly) adapted to my 1-hour-a-day of computer, including restricted access to Flyff 24/7. I would have to go over to my dad's house to play Flyff -- and only on weekends. I decided to play Flyff this weekend, since I was in a great leveling mood (and it takes a LONG time to level at my current level).
When xGackt logged on, he already had a class change, or a "promotion" to an advanced class. I was delighted to see him with his class change. But when I messaged him, he was serious. He wasn't ever typing in that face -- the "x]" face anymore. Something speared me right there. He would say, "Heey." instead of "Lulu-hime!!!!" Also, back then, he would type in "yay" (a lot) when he was happy, but now, he says "heh" a lot, which proturbs me.
Usually, when he's in a party, he would let everyone know he was leaving. He didn't do that today. You see, there's this gltich in Flyff, and I'm not so sure how it works. He uses a skill, and he instantly warps into town. I assumed he would come back where I was training, but instead, he ditched me. He went to one place, then to another, but never came back -- and he left the party, leaving me alone. It was very abnormal, and very creepy. xGackt never informed me of where he went. When he was training, he suddenly disappeared. At that time, I didn't know that teleporting glitch. He didn't say anything to me, but his friend said, "He said he went back to town." xGackt informed his friend, but not me?
He also had a strong attack power -- very very strong. It was between 2500 damage to 6000 damage per hit, while I had about 1000 damage per hit. I assumed that he was the kind of "strength" guy and I was the "fast attacking" person, so I didn't bother about it. But when he messaged me, he said, "Should I use a skill's glitch to be able to..."
"To...?" I inquiry.
He replies, "To be able to do 10k [10,000] damage..."
I thought about it for a moment. 'Is he really this kind of person now? How much has he changed?' I said to myself. Since when did he greed for power? I warned him, "I don't want you to get banned because of this, but if you're really willing to, use it when no one, and I mean no one, is around." Until then, I always thought he would go insane over his high strength and change himself permanantly.
Perhaps...I was thinking that I should avoid him at all costs. I can easily change if any of my friends change. I sense that he would be a dangerous guy to be around now...I don't wish to do this, but I want to follow my senses about others. So I'm going to avoid him -- even if his player name is xGackt, it really doesn't mean anything. A player name is only to recognize others.
A game isn't life; life is a game.
