"hello, who's this?"
"Jin, your uncle has just died..."
"...no way... it can't be..."
"He just died... few minutes ago."
This is the call I recieved from my Father.
My favorite uncle died because of Lung Cancer. Few weeks ago, he was sent to the hospital for check-up... my aunt thought that it was just a normal respiratory ailment... but as days pass by, his condition got worse...
At first, they said it was just a pneumonia... but then he coughed some blood, so they suspected that it's tuberculosis.
My grandmother told him to go to other hospitals for further check-ups. When they got the results, it was Cancer.
as days pass by, he got weaker and weaker. Because of my schooling, I didn't get to visit him in the ICU.
according to my grandmother who always visits him, two days ago he stopped eating... so they decided to give him dextrose. Yesterday, he can no longer speak and pain was etched on his face.
I really could not believe that he had died... The news of his death... made my mind to revive those memories that we've spent together. I remember back then... He was the type of person who'll make someone feel like laughing after crying.
He's special to me... He's my second father, a great friend and a great uncle.
And I will always remember you... I hope that... you'll be happy in paradise.
