So if you know me well, you probably know that I have been SUPER DUPER ******** EXCITED about getting pink highlights for my birthday. My birthday (sixteenth birthday, mind you, it's super duper ******** important) is March 16th. Mom couldn't get an appointment with my hair dresser very close to that date, so we scheduled it for the 7th of March.
As more of you may know, I've been participating in the Drama Club's One Act at my school. It's like the most important thing in the world to the other people who are in it (seriously). I've been trying my best to spend all my time there, and I think I've done a pretty good job, except for the beginning where I was in the Dungeons and Dragons club. I quit later though, and afterwards I was at every rehearsal. I don't have very big/specific parts in the One Act, except for my dream in the play, where, if I happened to miss a performance, they could easily replace me. I don't have many lines, and all I do is freak out and scream at the end. The One Act is a competition between a bunch of schools, and the dates that we were told we had to go to Skowhegan to perform were March 9th and 10th. Mr. Mihalik, our director, told us not to schedule ANYTHING on those two dates. I made sure I didn't.
Well, we've talked just a little bit about doing a performance before we go to Skowhegan for the school. But we had no idea when that performance was going to be. Today we got our march schedule, and found out Mr. Mihalik wants to do two performances, one on the 8th, and one on the 7th. Whoa. Big problem there. So I told them. And they all started getting so ******** PISSED AT ME! For like no reason. They're like "Oh, our performance is more important than ANYTHING." I told them I could probably not reschedule, because we tried to get it later than the 7th, but there wasn't anything open. But they were saying how they couldn't see how dyeing my hair is more important than the One Act. IT'S NOT LIKE I'M GOING TO MISS THE ENTIRE COMPETITION! IT'S JUST ONE PERFORMANCE, AND IT'S FOR THE ******** SCHOOL! My lines are short, SOMEONE ELSE CAN LEARN THEM.
Then, apparently, you're not allowed to change your appearance before a performance. Because, you know, my character would be completely RUINED if a few strands of my hair were pink. My character in the play is a rebel-type person. She's one of those people that likes to be different. I figured having pink highlights would convey that PERFECTLY. SO WHY IS HE GETTING SO UPSET ABOUT IT?! I WANT TO PUNCH THEM ALL IN THE THROATS!
And anyway. They should make the performance at 4 or 4:30 if they want me there THAT ******** BADLY. Because my hair appointment is at 3. And I'm not sure how long it goes for, but Mom told me it's probably about an hour.
