right! here we go:
Final Fantasy 7 fanboy/girlism has got to stop. Okay? Like, I can understand if you liked the game. That's great. Amazing. Yeah it was fun if you're into that kinda thing. If you like games about aliens who want to take over the world and if you like playing as a total pussyass wussy loser who has no motives at all, then awesome, more power to you.
But the point I'm trying to make here is: Advent Children was pointless.
Here is the story of Advent Children's conception:
Once upon a time, Final Fantasy 7 got really popular. A bunch of people played it and had no idea what was going on. Sephiroth was apparently a badguy and you played as the good guy, Cloud, who, since he had a big sword and rode a motorcycle, was badass. So, those people who played Final Fantasy 7 and said it was amazing obviously missed the fact that Sephiroth isn't the main villian, Cloud is a total douchebag, and Final Fantasy 7 had a very conclusive ending. So obviously, fans wanted closure on a story that ended. Thus came Advent Children.
So, since the fanbase consists of raving Cloud and Sephiroth fanboys, the two most uninteresting characters in the entire game, Square decided to make a movie that not only ended an already completed story, but focussed heavily on these two characters who have no personalities. Awesome.
Once you've gotten past all the ramblings about reunions and brethren and geostigma and you actually think about the plot... it's just Final Fantasy 7 again. Only in movie format. With Kadaj instead of Sephiroth... or is it? Oh dear!
Yes Sephiroth makes his abrupt, unexplained, totally random appearance at the end of the movie because Kadaj, like, pushed Jenova's head into himself. And since that was exactly how it happened in the game, it makes perfect sense. Sephiroth wasn't, like, born and raised or anything. No, he was just some random Jenova infused guy who pushed Jenova's head into himself and became this omnipotent being who can control cloud formations and levitate hair.
And I suppose that Cloud killing Sephiroth, again, is supposed to give you closure. Because Cloud didn't kill Sephiroth at the end of Final Fantasy 7. Not at all. No sir. And they didn't stop Meteor from crashing into Earth. Oh no. There's still plenty of conflict.
i know this is going to offend people but thats the way it is
no sense no good
