I watch a clock
Wishing and waiting for the time to pass
Wishing and waiting to be a few minutes older
Wishing and waiting for the end
I mark off the boxes on a calender
Anxious about what day comes closer
Anxious about the year passing
Anxious about what the future holds
I fill the pages of a diary
Remembering the events passed
Remembering time now lost
Remembering what used to be
I don't mean to waste my youth
Unintentionally sitting back and waiting for my time to run out
Unintentionally wondering what will come, instead of doing something about it
Unintentionally thinking of the past when the futurewas so much more important
But now I know what I must do
I know that I should enjoy my time
I know that life can be worth living
I know that I still have enough time to enjoy my youth
