Why Put A Proper Title When You Can Make a Face
Yah-Koh-Boh Prompt

.:[I Came, I Polled, I Posted]:.

Prompt I
Write about one thing today that made you smile.

Prompt II
Reflect on the following statement: "In an online world, for as connected as we seem to be, there is something key missing in the interaction that makes it real."

Seeing as its around 2:30AM and I just finished watching an episode of Stargate: Atlantis, I had nothing to do and sleep wasnt an option so here I am. PLUS, the moment I read that first Prompt I knew exactly what to write.

Prompt I
I usually tend to smile a lot, cause I tend to find a lot of things amusing or make things seem amusing. But today right before I went to school, I smiled in accomplishment, because after about 2 weeks of stress and anxiety of going on my school Camp, I had finished packing and had everything I needed ready. (And just for a quick note, we had to bring our stuff on the friday so they can load the stuff during the weekend and we leave at 6:30AM on the monday, the bus ride to where were going is about 12 Hours burning_eyes ) The feeling you get when you know your ready for something after a stressful lead up is just GREAT, and of course THAT made me smile as carried my bags to school. Well that and the prospects of not doing any real school work for a week whee

Prompt II
I've always felt like there was something missing when communicating with people online. No matter what you or how much you say, its hard to say what your saying in the way you intend it to be. For me, i've always had my way of expressing what im saying, thus making the delivery of what I say important in receiving my intended message. For example right now as i'm typing this, I cant really properly express what Id like to because for one I tend to be more fluid with showing my thoughts through speech than writing down my thoughts in words. One of the reason being that I always find a problem where I think that the Audience reading wont totally understand what im talking about and in the back of their minds their raising their eyebrows in the traditional "WTF" pose.

Basically what im saying (here I am thinking that people didnt understand what I wrote before, therefore requiring a recounting of what I just said), if I happened to have gone in circles in my explanation, is that were really limited in the way we can interact with each other. Usually just text or images or emotes and sometimes voice. You just cant get the same Physical Communication you get from RL in an online world...as of yet.

I agree with your response to prompt 2. But, even with things like video chat, does that fill the missing void?
