If I Fade Away
.....Would anyone notice?
Tonsillectomy/ post-op: Days 7-9
Day 7 - Pain: 10 being kill me, 1 being perfect... /// 5-4
Hm.. Thursday.. xD Well, as soon as I woke up with the kids as my alarm, I retreated to Wendy's room because she was cleaning the house, so I couldn't go to the living room. I thought about sleeping in the laundry room, but she was probably going to do laundry too. So, I fell asleep until about 10:30 and woke up. I ate a little yogurt.. I believe it was cherry flavored. I had some chocolate ice cream after that. I checked my throat, and the swelling has gone down quite a bit. The yellow scabs that were covering my holes seemed to be flaking off bit by bit. Swallowing anything soft wasn't so difficult, and drinking was as painful either. However, it still took about 2 swallows, and I didn't have to lean on my side. Also, I tried working on one of my comics and got in a page worth. However, it started to become tedious and I put it away for the day. In the afternoon, I made myself some tomato soup. It was boring, to say the least. Later on in the day since my sister was home with me, she was playing animal crossing. After she was finished, I asked if I could play. To my joy she said yes, and I played for an hour and a h alf. We also had beefy roni for dinner. After everyone finished eating in about 10 minutes, I went back to her room and played while I ate. It was kind of painful when I ate because little pieces of hamburger meat would get stuck next to the scabs. It's kind of like getting dirt in an open wound, only in your mouth. >< To get it out, I drank a lot of apple juice to dislodge the offender. It was very painful, and I barely finished eating the rest of the pasta. I took some more pain medicine, and went to bed. I'm not sure when I fell asleep though...

Day 8 - Pain: 10 being kill me, 1 being perfect... /// 5-3
Friday! I actually slept in until 9 'o clock, and Javier was home that day. [Javier = sister's husband] So it was really boring and I was by myself. I watched some Jeopordy [which is weird, because I usually don't watch those kind of shows] and then I watched a special pre 'April Fools' show on Maury where the audience tried to guess if the 'women' where actually women or men. I only caught the last portion of the show where they revealed their indentity. In the end, they were actually all women. On another show, there were twins who supposedly had psychic abilities. They believe dthat they were one soul that had split into two bodies so that the world would listen to them and give them more attention. They said that they received their messages through a clear thought and then wrote them down. I'm not sure if they're for real or not, but they supposedly made a lot of predictions. It was boring. After that, I watched mind-numbing, though fun episodes of The Fairly Odd Parents. I love that show.. and it comes on a lot on many channels for satelite. n_n Later that night when I tried to eat a burrito, a piece got stuck against one of the scabbing holes and tears sprang from my eyes. It was very painful, and on top of being tired and hungry I had a melt-down. I couldn't stand being in so much pain, and feeling like I was being forgotten by everyone else.. There were a lot of things on my mind. I called hime-san, but things only got progressively worst, but things evened themselves out eventually. However, it still wasn't a happy ending there either. Exhausted from crying for about 5 hours, I fell asleep around 11:30.

Day 9 - Pain: 10 being kill me, 1 being perfect... /// 4-2
On this day, Saturday, I woke up at about 8:30, and felt pretty rested considering. Early in the day, my sister Wendy was preparing everything for Leah's 9th birthday party. She pretty much did everything by herself since I wasn't allowed to do any heavy lifting.. [it might cause bleeding, they say] So, she challenged me to do funbrain.com, and play the 8th grade level. The math is really easy, but some of it comes to having to master the arcade games. Sometimes it was programed where you had to play it so many times, or the game was just too slow. And it's not just if your modem is slow, the game is just slow itself because of how it was made. So, that sucked a**. However, while playing, when you lose it says 'read the diary of the wimpy kid'. I never actually read it while being defeated so many times, but my sister encouraged me to. So, I did, and I read all of the entries that it had to offer. It was well-written, and I loved the drawings. I felt so sorry for that kid. Around 12, hime-san finally showed up. I showed her some of the diary, and we chatted with Wendy. She left for a little while to do something with her mom, and Wendy recruited me to fill up water balloons. It took a lot longer than expected, and the balloons didn't want to fit over the spiket. Eventually she got it to work, and Hime-san returned. We retreated to my room away from the screaming children and watched TV, and I even got her to help me make the bed. xD She had to leave just when we were serving dinner, which took me an hour and a half to eat. The meat was so soft I could actually eat it, and it was very good. While I ate, I happily watched Spirited Away. It's such an adorable movie!! Then, came the pinata, and the cake/icecream. I ate mostly frosting and icecream, but the cake was good too. Leah opened her presents, and I retreated to my room. Later that night, I got to watch Young Frankenstein. It's a good movie old black/white movie, and it's very funny. It's a spoof of Frankenstein, obviousely. Soon after, I fell asleep around 11:30 after swiping another piece of cake...
