2+2=5! Let a=2, b=3; Then a+b=5 Multiply both sides by (2a-5) (2a-5)(a+b)=5(2a-5) 2a^2+2ab-5a-5b=10a-25 Add (5b-5a) to both sides: 2a^2+2ab-10a=5a-25+5b Factor:2a(a-5+b)=5(a-5+b) 2a=5 That is: a+a=5 But a=2, therefore: 2+2=5
