Mmm, my mom has become bitchier.
For one week, I've been analysing our relationship. The only things we ever say to each other when we're along together are:
- Arguments, lots of yelling
- My school / extra curricular work
- Critisizing me
- Telling me to clean up / do work / do chores
The longest conversation we had this week was her yelling at me not working hard enough and me yelling that she demands way too much of me.
I find myself imagining me slitting my wrists whenever she's around so I normally leave whenever she gets into the same room as me.
Here's a conversation between us:
TV: Blah blah blah important guy splits his pants in front of other important guys!
Me: Who's this important guy?
Mom: The governor
Me: Who's the governer? (As in what does he do, why is he important?)
Mom: Well you idiot he's that important guy. Are you so dumb that you can't remember what I told you 2 seconds ago? It's because you never study that you don't even know who the governor is. I should just take away all your freedom and lock you in a cage and force you to study all the time.
That was a dramatization of what happened. I heard about this important guy in China and when I asked her, she said some position in the government (in Chinese) that I have never heard of before. I asked her who that was and she snapped back at me as you see above. The "lock you in a cage" part was dramatizing but she did say that I spend too much time on leisure activities...
This is definitely not the worst situation I've heard of. My friend's friend has a dad who's a drunkard and she has to go to therapy. My other friend has no insurance and needs to find housing because a man her mom loved screwed them over.
So, here's another journal entry from Toothie.
Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, doesn't it?
